You're right, it's a Asus g74SX laptop with a Intel Core i7 2630QM processor and 8 gb of ram.
The point is that I know it should be running fine but it still has problems, any help would be appreciated.
also I have googled it and checked around inculding the asus forums

Here is what you are going to do:
you are going to google Can I run it? on google on your Asus mind you,
Then you are going to go and press Far Cry 3 and press the button: Can I run it?
Its going to ask you to download something but its totally legit.
Then its going to read what your computer has and what is needed for FC3 and what is optimal for FC3. Then you are going to fix what is wrong with your Asus (which by the way could be because you have a laptop and laptops are not made for games, they are made for portability).
