Depending on where you live and how soon you go into it, the gaming industry is a really good shot right around now. So long as you turn out to be good, by the time you would graduate most diploma programs, the newer consoles would be out, meaning companies would be hiring on more people. But I for sure say hell ya to going through with it. i mean, I am in college right now to become a game designer( the people that take an idea of a game, and figure out how the bloody hell to actually make it into one)
and I can tell you it is really awesome.
