I actually do work at a doggie day-care and I have to say, there is no way we are going to go around "disciplining" dogs that aren't ours. That could get us into a whole lot of shit with owners. The easiest and least disruptive thing to do is to simply separate dogs that are acting out. And a dog that acts out or bullies isn't usually an untrained dog either. A lot of dogs are like toddlers in that they get over stimulated, or over excited or don't understand boundaries. Separating them for a short amount of time allows the dog time to calm down and collect itself so that it isn't so hyped up anymore. That's the point of "time-outs" in doggie day care.

Also one big thing is try to show the animal before going to punishment if it's never done something before. I've heard of idiots with cats that will scream at new kittens who don't know what a litterbox is for shitting anywhere, because they don't know better. That's only gonna cause confusion.

The idea is to do it when their young, so that they dont need to be punished when their older. Im not sure why i got so many red thumbs, my dogs are super friendly and behave themselves wonderfully. A light smack on the muzzle, a couple of scolding words, and bam. Dog knows not to do whatever bad thing it did.

What animals have you ever owned? Some pets are temperamental assholes, aka most cats, and they won't respond to any yelling or being told no. My cat would jump on the counters and start wrecking shit, and I would repeatedly put her back on the ground, yell no, or gently push her off, but it wouldn't work. So I just tap her nose. I'm not beating her or leaving damage I'm doing something she hates only if she's being a real asshole.

I wasn't saying that you shouldn't hit your pet. That's your shit and I won't say anything about it. I was just pointing out that saying that something doesn't work because you have to do it is fucking stupid. So if their method is to give the dog a timeout if he does something he shouldn't and you say "if the dog needed a time out, their method isn't working at all" that also means that the method of smacking the dog when he does something wrong doesn't work, because "if the dog needed to be smacked, your method isn't working at all".
So yeah, I was just pointing out hawaiikid's faulty logic, I wasn't arguing about how to raise your pet.

No dog is exactly a perfect little animal, my little dog doesn't like to be touched by little girls or puppies. The bitch has a hatred for anything cuter than her. My dog though has never done most of the disgusting things I have heard other dogs do. If my dog vomits, she begs for forgiveness and doesn't eat it, if she needs to go out, she will hold it in as long as she can. Different methods work differently on different people and animals.

Perkele is an alternative name of Ukko, the chief god of the Finnish pagan pantheon. In modern Finnish, the interjection "perkele!" is a common profanity, approximately equivalent to "the Devil!" in meaning and "fuck!" in intensity.

That being said, altered perception, is a gateway to well, altered perception.
The fallacy of senses as it were. After experiencing synergy between senses and experiencing the result of altered information processing it's not hard to see how someone could become a little more "open minded".
I do know that a study done recently seemed to show that a significant experience with psilocybin caused seemingly permanent "personality enhancement".
Fancy words for "they were positively impacted"
I for one, think psychoactives like "shrooms" are not only desirable, but even good things. And like always, I don't think it's less about the drug and more about the person who uses them.

I don't want to be the guy that says this, but..
While that is true, there is always a risk for bad trips, nightmare trips.
Those WILL fuck you up in ways you never thought possible. It's why I stopped. I'd rather get myself into a high on my own with no hallucinogens. Which is possible, if you're able to meditate and hypnotize yourself.
