Yeah. I don't mean to shit on the dualshock, it's just that the PS1 was originally released as a 3D console with a 2D controller, while the N64 had a controller designed for both.

I suppose if I had to pick a favorite controller, it'd have to be either the GameCube or WiiU controllers.

I am right on board with you man. Death is a fate that mankind has attempted desperately to escape, and it's a completely natural thing to seem overwhelmed by that fact. But it is a fate that everyone before and after us shares, and regardless people are able and will always be able to make a positive difference in this world. What I feel bogs us down resides in focusing on personal past events, instead of relishing in the beauty all around us and what we are capable of at the present moment.

I've leaned somewhat towards a spiritual perception on death. The efforts we make in our lifetime I believe impact us, whether there is an afterlife or not, in that the earth and whoever is on it is changed because of our actions. Something like the Butterfly effect. So, as you said, there is quite a lot to be gained for realizing the world as it is and then making efforts to help yourself positively. I frequently see videos of "People are Awesome," and it's a huge motivator for me, knowing there are people capable of extrodinary things and that I could be one of them too. You may find that if you start thinking positively about something in your life, even if you don't feel that way at the time, you'll realize hidden gems in the chaos you may not have seen before. Thanks for that mate.

I have hard time sleeping at night so i tend to think to much. I think about my life and where its going and i also think how everyone i know and love is going to die at some point. I know its depressing but when your alone in a dark room what else is to think about?
User avatar #39 - kombee (11/09/2014) [-]
Yeah I know how you feel. Death can be a very scary thing to think about, and the prospect of life can become somewhat burdening. It's not a bad thing to think about death though. It helps so that you can focus on important things in life, using it to reflect on it and what good you can do while you're still alive. Also, thinking positive thoughts and expanding the possibilities helps a lot. Think about the good times and facets about you and your family alongside all of the plus in your life, being grateful for that will make it much easier to view the world in a new light. like: Generally people only say "why me?", when they feel bad or something bad has come upon them. Why not ask the same question when something good happens?

My relation to death is pretty unconventional (for a lot of people). Being a religious person n'all I kinda view life as a momentary journey, basically a opportunity to try and do and act as much good I can as possible, until time comes for me to pass. Death itself isn't scary for me, however the way I (and my family) act before we die scares me.That's what I believe in, and the way I look at it it's a win-win, because if I die and we assume nothing is after death I've atleast lived positively in a less than perfect world, where too much worldly attachment can suck the life outta me (only attachment I truly need is person to person and of course to God). And if we assume something is after death, I have everything to gain, things I can't even imagine. This mindset (in simple terms) helps a lot with coping with the feeling of sorrow and loss I used to go through beforehand and the enivatable cycle of escapism to sorrow to escapism and so on. If anything I'v learned this: Being positive in your thoughts, even if it might seem childish at times, will help you alot. If the sun shines bright everyday, so can you.

Ass.
No but seriously, you just have to get over that that's how the world is and works. Everyone dies. There is absolutely no point thinking about it constantly.

If you are interested in continuing to read our conversation, we have likely moved it to my profile. One of his responses was pm but I will post it to my profile anyway in-case you are still interested

Have a great day!
User avatar #10 to #9 - kombee (09/28/2014) [-]
I am actually quite interested, thank you very much for the consideration . I was actually about to reply to some parts of your conversation but decided not to since I felt it would be rude to cut in in a conversation like that also I was too lazy at that point lol , so I decided to spectate instead.

You have a great day as well, and thanks!

You're very welcome if you ever want to talk I'm on a lot, but I may not reply immediately lol

That's fine. I very much understand how it may require time (to think, get enrgy etc.) to reply to something, and I'm very much the same in that aspect. Especially when I'm on too late

So I saw some of your comments in regards to the existence of God, and i just wanted to input my two cents

I believe the existence of our universe proves that there is a supreme creator. For example, I am using a laptop. Now I do not know who assembled it, who excavated the silicon used in it, ect. However, the fact that I have this laptop proves that at one point, there existed a person who created it. Similarly, you do not know my parents, but the fact that I exist proves that my parents also exist. Because of this, I see the existence of our universe as proof that something existed to create this.

This seems to be similar to your views, I just think explaining it like this is more simple

User avatar #8 to #7 - kombee (09/26/2014) [-]
Lol, yep that's definitely a good way of explaining it. I'm currently learning how to be a programmer, meaning that I write and excavate code that runs and become some sort of working program. If not for the programmer actively writing that code, there would be no program in the first place regardless of wether the small bits of code knows this or not. Anyway thanks for writing that, it's always nice to see someone with the same belief as yourself actively partake in a discussion about it instead of shying away. Props to you.
