You must have gotten a dud. I have an S4 and it's the best phone I've ever owned. I've owned a few Samsung phones since the Omnia and they've all been nothing less than awesome.

I was unaware of that. But even so, with the Muslim extremists like ISIS running around declaring Jihad on anything and everything, it's an unfortunate modern name.

No doubt. It's also scary to hear "allahu akbar". I mean, I don't hate Muslims at all, and I even defend them on the news forums but if I were sitting next to a man on a plane and he said that (a common praise that doesn't mean anything bad by itself) I'd probably punch him across the face before he could finish (or more realistically hit the floor).

Not only is it the parties themselves, but their monetary support as I addressed down a few comments about our falsely labeled "Representative" bullcrap.

It started with these court cases
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckley_v._Valeo (this was '76, "money is speech")
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_National_Bank_of_Boston_v._Bellotti (thiswas '78, "corporations are people")

Then the rest is in #119 down there. They couldn't have so much power if they didn't have "1st Amendment Corporate speech money" load of shit.

And I can't believe I fuggin' forgot to mention using the power the Founding Fathers gave the American people, the popular sovereignty power of passing an Amendment through an Article V convention.

www.wolf-pac.com - is one of the very, very limited options we have, and two states are on the board, Vermont and Cali, and the ball needs to keep rolling to get 36 more states so we don't have to put up with corrupt bullshit anymore.
It's better than fuckin' voter apathy or 3rd party attempts at least.
User avatar #141 - ugottanked (08/26/2014) [-]
what will happen if we do get the rest of the states on board?
User avatar #167 - ihatem (08/27/2014) [-]
Then our federal government in the legislative branch has to get together to pass an amendment as outlined by the people or else they'll run the risk of judicial review for constitutional violations, or worse, revolt.

After that happens and we get the public funding system back we'll start to run like we used to, and hopefully change our right wing to Teddy Roosevelt/Eisenhower ideology and our left to FDR/Clinton, yet maintain the heart of our Founding Fathers.

We'll no longer be as far down the international charts in demographics.
The potential we have as Americans is absolutely fuckin' gnarly.

How many states do we have so far?
User avatar #176 - ihatem (08/27/2014) [-]
So far there's California and Vermont, which are very involved and relevant states in legislation conversations.

I think Texas and a couple other states have conversations stirring and there should be another few states this year. There's a map on the wolf-pac.com front page that helps, too.

If you haven't read it, flip through Liberty Amendments and Liberty and Tyranny by Mark Levin. I get the feeling that you may enjoy the read. At least parts of it.
User avatar #166 - ihatem (08/27/2014) [-]
Yes, I do enjoy paranoia. The dude is a little off the partisan wall, not exactly what Adams, Madison, and Jefferson had in mind. There is a fair point to make about the subjects he brings up, but the extents he writes are a little bit fear-mongering/nationalist or non-issue half the time, and Professor Oak's words are comin' up.

In return, I suggest The Federalist Papers by Hamilton, Jay, Madison

(That's the guy that also ranted about Jon Stewart be an anti-semite over minor Gaza comments and therefore a self-hater and he hates self-haters.)
User avatar #168 - frobskottle (08/27/2014) [-]
I wouldn't disagree with you. Partisan, yes. Paranoid, maybe to a degree. His biggest points that I agree with is that we have deviated in many ways from our founding principles and that a convention of the states is the best way to right the ship. Personally, I do think he has a better grasp on the founding fathers and the constitution than most in the media, etc. I haven't read the Federalist Papers at length, so I accept your challenge.
