Here is something important I hope you keep in mind, you'll start losing weight slower the more you lose but the progress is still the same and very very healthy.
Remember that it is still working, even if the results don't seem as significant.
You hear about the difference in muscle weight versus fat but people tend to forget to mention that you are building muscle at the same time as losing the fat, not just after the fat is gone, and that because of that the numbers on the scale will be misleading after a certain point.
So here's some advice you won't hear much, but it will help you keep going to keep it in mind. The closer you get to your goal the more you should focus on how you feel and what you are now capable of doing that you weren't before, and focus on what you could be capable of with just one more week, then another, and another.
You're doing great! Keep going, we're cheering for you. =)

I was always sort of the type who honestly believed "I know I'm fat, but I'm healthy enough" - until I finally stood on that scale and realized how bad it had gotten - you don't notice a drastic difference when you see yourself in the mirror every day, and it's so gradual that you don't "feel" yourself gaining weight.
I knew I was heavy, but not... THAT bad.
Then little pieces of the puzzle started making more and more sense - my joints hurt, especially my ankles and hips; my back aches more than it should for someone my age, I'm tired all the time, walking or running leaves me winded faster than it ought to.
Those aren't normal "healthy" problems - and whether or not they are "caused BY" being overweight, being overweight certainly worsens all of them. My doctor described it as "like trying to make a truck carry 6 tons when it's only built to carry 3."
Ideally I would like to get down to about 150 or 160 pounds. I've got a way to go, but I'm eating better and staying more active. It won't be an overnight thing, because I didn't get this way overnight - but I hope eventually I'll get there. = )
Plus, my dogs are loving the extra walkies, lol.

May I ask how you're going about losing weight? I'm going to Cali in a month or so and I just want to trim off a few pounds for the beach. I started running but a lot of people tell me that isn't enough. I would diet but it's just a little too expensive and inconvenient to do so.

I lost 2lbs a week just riding 15 minutes to and back from work on my bike. I went from 221 to 194 in 2.5 months because when I saw me losing 2lbs rapidly on minimal effort I started riding my bike for fun every day. 1 saturday, I decided to challenge myself and go from Kipling and Dixon to Parliamant and Dundas, toronto Ontario, canada. My first attempt, I spent the night at my gramp's because of exhaustion. After that though, I could go fro and back with ease. As you lose weight and build muscle in the right spots, it's really easy. Be careful and ride gentle though, or you'll break an arm like me. I was a speed demon always followed the law, just chaotic lawful
