And I'm glad that your dogs are so well trained, because I understand the effort that goes into making a dog obedient.

But not everyone knows better and to be honest, it is my opinion that dogs have their own individual personalities or temperaments -- not all dogs, assuming they have some intermediate form of training, will react accordingly to strangers.

So I can see where you're coming from, we both have an understanding that dogs should be properly raised. However, no dog should have to die that way. They truly are just such loyal and loving creatures that it pains me to see this kind of thing.

The dogs owner did nothing to stop her dog even though she was in the doorway while she watched the officer retreat, pull his gun and repeatedly telling the dog to back away. She should have stopped her dog.

Except you're wrong again.

"The dogs owner did nothing to stop her dog even though she was in the doorway while she watched the officer retreat, pull his gun and repeatedly telling the dog to back away. She should have stopped her dog."

See attached screenshot -- she wasn't in sight of the second officer holding the gun until after she heard the shot. So there's no way she could've known that her dog was going to be shot, or that he'd even attack. But I don't know her. Maybe she knew? Maybe she didn't? But from the footage shown, no, she was not anywhere near close enough to pull her dog back let alone recognize the threat posed.

When my dogs bark at strangers walking in front of the door, I just tell them to shut up -- granted, this is anecdotal, but it seems to be a common occurrence amongst people I know. If they don't shut up, I go check it out. You're really blaming her for reacting normally to her dog barking in the comfort of her own home?

He is leaning forward while sitting. That's why his tie looks long.
