well the thing is that it is a technicality. The Official language of the common brit is English true, but England does not have an official language even though English is it's De Facto Language of UK, The Commonwealth and other nations.

+ Native languages have to be the original population and English is a Germanic language while the original population were Celtic which are not really Germanic
Also just for a fun trivia, English is just Anglo-Saxon with some Norman words in it. Angles would live in south Denmark, Saxons came from North Germany and Normans were a old Norsefolk that conquered what is current England under the great Heathen Army
