If that's the case then you really need to grow the fuck up.

My school required "volunteer" work of kids serving lunch. Only paid lunch ladies before school to cook it and kids served it out. Lots of people got spit in their food, friends got good shit, you didn't get to eat if it was your day, and fucking no college or job gives a shit about being forced to be a lunch lady.

>swamped with homework or running start at community college, have a job to help out family, socially awkward, or just can't physically do the service do to one reason or another
>can't graduate
>"just need to grow the fuck up"

Way to be unreasonable, mate.

"swamped with homework or running start at community college, have a job to help out family, socially awkward"

I had all of those and still managed to do it. If you have some real problem that renders you without time, I'm fairly certain you could talk to your school about it.

Plus, physical disabilities doesn't mean you're unable to help. Often the type of shit you can volunteer for will involve raising money via bake sales, car washes, or what have you. You could man the register, bake cookies for the sale, etc. There's no specific service you have to volunteer for, you can get your hours anywhere you choose (you have to prove it was volunteer work, but other than that).

You spend over 1200 days enrolled in high school; if you can't find 75 of those hours free to volunteer somewhere then maybe you're being a lazy cunt.

Comparing having to do volunteer work to forced child labour. I think one is a lot worse than the other, hence he needs to grow up about that.
User avatar
#80 - sackson (05/16/2016) [-]
its forced its either do it or fail to graduate based upon not your grade but not doing "volunteer"work by it defined as www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=volunteer+definition
its not volunteer work if something bad happens to you for not doing it you might want grow up yourself go learn what that word means it goes against is definition if you are doing i to GET something out of it

I'll make sure to tell the kids working in the factories that then. kameken
User avatar
#70 - spelly (05/16/2016) [-]
All he meant is that they have no option, thus making it forced.
They are children
It also involves work, thus making it labor.

Put these words together and you get forced child labor. This is merely semantics, as volunteer work is obviously not the same as children working in factories. He essential said this, but I dumbed it down for you.
User avatar
#71 - threeeighteen (05/16/2016) [-]
Sure thing buddy. Still stupid to compare it to child labourers working in factories. But I really don't give a shit at this point.
User avatar
#74 - spelly (05/16/2016) [-]
You were the first one to mention children working in factories. I know it's stupid to compare them, I'm just playing devil's advocate and explaining >>#52 since it seemed like you didn't understand it.
User avatar
#75 - threeeighteen (05/16/2016) [-]
The original person mentioned child labour. A lot of child labourers happen to work in factories. I understand, I still think it's childish to compare having to do community service to being an actual child labourer.
#105 - moocowsz (05/16/2016) [-]
you must lead a very sheltered life if your first instinct is to immediately associate child labor with factory workers.
User avatar
#106 - threeeighteen (05/16/2016) [-]
If you say so. I was just using them as an example.
#107 - moocowsz (05/16/2016) [-]
Define being a "child laborer" as you just put it then.
User avatar
#109 - threeeighteen (05/16/2016) [-]
Child labour refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful.
#110 - moocowsz (05/16/2016) [-]
According to your example, children aren't forced to be labor workers, so why then would any of them do it?
User avatar
#112 - threeeighteen (05/16/2016) [-]
The employment of children in an industry or business, especially when illegal or considered exploitative. Doesn't really strike me as being the same as a school making kids volunteer.
User avatar
#114 - threeeighteen (05/16/2016) [-]
Still, comparing volunteer work to forced child labour is childish. That's what I was originally getting at with my first point. But I'm a moron for pointing out that the two are different. dfodanjun.
User avatar
#113 - dfodanjun (05/16/2016) [-]
You seem to have an severe misunderstanding on what the words "volunteer work" and "child labor" mean. yet you've been describing them in pieces the exact same way as everybody else.

Either you're some moronic troll that needs to reevaluate their life, or an idiot who just got the point now a hefty 8 hours after everybody else did because you couldn't scrap together the little bit of rational thinking it takes. either way, I pity you.
User avatar
#111 - threeeighteen (05/16/2016) [-]
Dude, I just pointed out it was stupid to compare stuff like schools doing compulsory volunteering Mine did it, I managed to survive. to actual forced child labourer from third world countries.

It objectively is, though.

It's not as bad as calling it that makes it sound, no, but at its base it is.

Badmanners, it's more or less picking a fight. Hearthstone made the term BMing famous for disrespecting an opponent, by spamming certain emotes, like thank you when an enemy makes a mistake. Or letting them live when you can kill them to show them how easy the win was.

In rocket league people like to spam "What a save !" When you score in your own goal, to let you know how shit you are.

IMO it's a beautiful thing to do and more games should let you be able to do that.

Oh my sweet summer child, BMing has been around since long, long before Hearthstone.
User avatar

In my experience, people "bming" on rocket league is more of banter/ screwing around thing than actual aggressive shit-talking. I also play on lower skill levels, so it may be worse in actual competitive games.
