I really appreciate that even though it was a hilarious idea on your part, you let one of us execute it (flawlessly)

I had to go out and didn't want someone to beat me to the punch. You win some, you lose some.

I think he means they don't scale well size-wise, I mean look at that 10-kilo waterbell, it's already getting unwieldy, and then imagine someone using 40-kilo weights.

But it's also helluva lot cheaper, so for a low-cost, homemade gym it's not a terrible idea.

They scale if you use the right imperial units as well, 1 lb of water=1 pint of water. As for air pressure and temperature, that also effects metal as well but in the accuracy required (it really doesn't matter much if you lifted 51lbs or 49) is largely irrelevant for both.

What the fuck is imperial and which shitthrowing mongrels use it?

Seriously. How bad do you have to misinterpret what he said to think this is what he meant. Talking to you kikkilinu. Mehwhatevs is correct. This guy means that you can't make large weights out of water weights without them being too fucking big. Which is to say, they don't scale well with size. Anon should have added the density of iron in as well, to make his point. Because iron doesn't "scale well" either if you use what you thought he meant. But if you look at it as how unwieldy it gets instead, it makes perfect sense.
