So the volunteer military (made of citizens and not robots)...is gonna fight....the citizens?
User avatar #176 - roliga (06/14/2014) [-]
That's cute, he actually thinks roughly a million active military members could secure a country the size of America
User avatar #184 - kieranbaker (06/14/2014) [-]
1 Million Highly trained soldiers, pilots, seaman, marines, navy seals all outfitted with the latest technology designed specifically for "fuck you". Thousands of jets and tanks, hundreds of drones, Naval dominance from both sides, and enough nukes to level 3/4's of Russia. All of this and much more is coming to enact martial law (and total dominance) against some 10-80 million citizens (most of which live in urban environments) with little to no training, some shotguns, pistols, hunting rifles, and semi-auto rifles, and a strong sense of "I have the right to do whatever the fuck I want because a bunch of dead guys said some smart stuff 300 years ago".

If the US government was as evil as some people make it out to be we wouldn't even be allowed the internet, let alone electronics. Ja the government is corrupt but we have it a fuck ton better than most countries...except for northern Europe...they seem to know how to run their shit.

Russia could level america with 1-2 nukes. How many do you consider "enough" to level russia?

uuuhhh huh... so uh, where ya gonna get funding for all that? Hm? I don't think that the people are gonna be paying their taxes if the government tried to "take over" and soldiers aren't going to attack their own home towns and people...
User avatar #195 - kieranbaker (06/14/2014) [-]
I would assume they would do the same as Soviet Russia and North Korea. Send people to work and sell the shit to less than reputable countries.
User avatar #197 - roliga (06/14/2014) [-]
And what makes you think the people would go to work? I'm sure Ukraine thought they could just take over their citizens, same with Syria, etc, need I go on?
User avatar #199 - kieranbaker (06/14/2014) [-]
Ever heard of the Holocaust? Not everyone is brave enough to stand up and fight when they have one of the strongest militarys pointing a barrel at them. And of the Syrians and Ukrainians how many of them opposed their shit governments, now how many of them walked up to the soldiers and gave them the finger....the answer is a hell of a lot less than the media makes it out to be.

You know what the jews didn't have? Guns. You think that the American government could just overnight take over a country the size of America yet our SUPER ADVANCED MODERN WARFARE XBOX 360 BLACK OPS MOUNTAIN DEW HOLY SHIT military has been losing a war against toothless rag heads living in caves using century old weapons for the past ten years...
User avatar #208 - kieranbaker (06/14/2014) [-]
1. We are "losing" more of a fucking stalemate at this point. Because if we took everyone and everything in our military over to the middle east and turned it into a glass crater, the rest of the world would think we were fucking psychos.
2. Even the government has limits, sure they gave half of a shit about civilian casualties earlier on but that was because (and still is) incredibly difficult to tell who is and who isn't part of an extremist group when everyone dresses the same.
3. They aren't living in caves you dumbass, they are hiding out in mountain forests, towns, and villages.
4. The jews actually managed to smuggle guns into the ghettos, while they held their own for a few weeks the germans slaughtered almost all of them.
5. I said within a week not overnight you asshat.

I think it's funny when people talk about American revolution they assume the military would side with the government. 99.9% of American soldiers WILL NOT fire on American citizens.

Also, no way in hell am I quitting. The guy spent 4 months trying to rip my girlfriend away from me, despite knowing we were perfectly happy together. And because our relation was fine, she never gave in, but she was convinced it would stop and they would be able to be really good friends - hence the naive part.

But I still have atleast 3 months to make up for

After reading KS and having loads of free time on my hand due to only having 1 class all semester, I decided to do volunteerwork with the blind.
Do note that when you're talking volunteerwork with blind, it's going to be 95% old people and very rarely people our age (I assume you're in your 20's or close to). And even if there are young people there, odds are they're in a group of friends or something and young people don't come to those events where you guide people around because well let's face it, you don't like to come to events filled with old people either.
Despite knowing this I still did it just for shits and giggles and I met her on my second time guiding someone. And by chance, despite being on the other side of the country (Belgium), she lived a 30 minute drive away from me and was my age (23). So I started talking with her because I didn't have any friends in the blind world and one thing led to another.

I am 19 and I honestly don't expect to meet someone my age if I ever volunteer. I hope so once my summer courses end, but even if most of the people I walk around are older I find no problem in that i kinda like listening to old people and their stories, granted if they had been blind since birth they may not be all that exciting.

Don't, worry... I'm ruining his life as it is.
He already broke up with his girlfriend, almost got him fired (the head of his departement knows about it and asked him to deliver him a message), made him lose face with the entire blind community (he isn't blind but he still hangs around with them non stop and his now ex girlfriend was a blind 24 year old girl and before that he married a 25 year old blind girl in 2009, go figure).
I'm not done with him yet, this is just the beginning, now that I have his home adress the fun can really begin.
User avatar #86 - kieranbaker (06/11/2014) [-]
Well don't be a complete asshole, only go as far as would be necessary. Even the devil is one of God's creatures.

Also do you happen to live near a lot of blind people because I have never met a blind person in my entire life...doesn't help my above statement.

I might be soon, now that I know the home adress of that sick 42 year old guy who tried to steal her away from me.

The thing I loved most about her was how much she loved to cuddle and all the fun we had together. Despite her hating being dependent on others, I didn't care at all about it. She was worth it.

Problem is that because she has been protected all of her life, she's too naive and 42 year old guys can take advantage of that.
User avatar #84 - kieranbaker (06/11/2014) [-]
