Nature vs Nurture is a common topic in Sociology. OP presents a valuable and well thought out opinion. Nature or Nurture in regards to homosexuality is an on going debate. Its a legit sociological topic.
We do know that there are significant differences in the brains of those they identified as homosexual and those who are normal. I say normal because the homosexual brain deviates from the norm. I say this not as an insult but as a fact.
I for one would be interested to see the outcome of raising a child purposely to be homosexual. Maybe it could be both Nature and Nurture.

Actually their opinion isn't valuable or well thought out, they have ignored the need for actual proof for their argument. Have ignored that studies done are done by reputable scientists and that those "scientists" who claim to support nurture and generally religious fundamentalists.
There is a great deal of evidence for multiple source that it's not just genetic, but also has to do with hormone influence in the womb. There are also studies showing it is epigentic.
Claiming it is nurtured falls apart merely when confronted with the vast array of households, and how many end up with gay children. If it were nurtured homosexuality would only occur in similar family/environment/household types, and not in a diverse array. The fact that twins have an extremely high percentage of both being gay points to genetics, that fraternal twins don't does as well.
Children who are born with androgynous genitals have them surgically edited to look like either male or female genitals, yet in many cases those children have the wrong set of genitals and the doctor made an error. No amount of nurturing a child to be of a certain sex caused them to be of that sex.
We are far from finished understanding out our DNA or genes, yet to say it nurtured does not fit with history or the occurrences of homosexuality.

This sounds like a neat idea. One would have to create some sort of isolated community for a project like this. It would be a necessary step because too much exposure to the heterosexual world might expose them to homophobia as well. It would have to be kids raised to be gay under gay parents and at a gay school with gay friends.
