I never said every Muslim. But it's a large enough percentage that it's certainly a problem.

It's not a problem with the religion. It's a problem with some of the followers of the religion (specifically the ones in say, Saudi Arabia. American Muslims are generally good people from what I've seen).

And so what if they have freedom of religion? I wasn't arguing that they shouldn't be allowed to practice Islam, or shouldn't be allowed to wear a hijab, but rather that they shouldn't be FORCED to wear a hijab.

That would be depending on what you mean by 'large enough percentage'. Indonesia is the largest muslim country by a huge margin, with over 300M citizens and 94% of them are muslim.

So you think when they're an adult they won't be shitty in fear of their mother still? Or does it magically become part of their personality.
#31 - kelex (10/09/2016) [-]
If taught right, they won't.
My brother was a bad kid, and every time my mom tried to scold him, he'd start running away. My mom would catch him, and beat him on where he did wrong (in this case usually legs because he ran away). She wouldn't beat him once with bare hands, she'd beat him with a thin bamboo stick until his legs turned all red and start bleeding.

Now he's 30 years old and he loves our mom as much as my sister and I. Heck, he'd still argue against her if he thinks he's right, but he's grown to be a respectful person.

It all depends on what you do before you beat the kid and how you beat the kid. If you just mindlessly beat them then you're indifferent to a criminal.

I'd like to add that not hitting them when they do wrong is terrible as well. Scolding just won't do because the kid feel no consequence of doing wrong, so they'll just continue to do so. Grounding them doesn't work either, because the idea of grounding is to make them think of their action and what's wrong with it when they don't even know what is wrong with it.

A lot of people misunderstand this so imma put this out here.

Beating = Abuse
Whoopin = Corrective Punishment

Children need they ass whooped, you don't beat a child.
#29 - anon (10/09/2016) [-]
No, you have to BEAT respect into them.
#27 - kelex (10/09/2016) [-]
Whoopin is not even a word. It only exists in urban dictionary. In official dictionary, whoop means something not even close to being related.
