I weigh 63kg and used to weigh around 70kg before I went to college. Nobody told me when to eat there so I only ate like once or twice a day. I dropped 7kg and I'm on my last belt hole before I have to buy a smaller one just by only eating when I felt hungry and stopped when I felt full I wasn't even trying to lose weight or anything. I went from eating a plate and a half to like half a plate of food per meal. Now I don't even really prefer sodas and shit like that, I wasn't even cutting out foods or sugary stuff. It was just like one day I just stopped wanting sodas.
My recommendation for you:
Only eat when you're hungry
NEVER eat because you're bored or don't know what to do or watching TV or some shit
Don't eat the cake - sugar is the easiest way to put on fat if you're not using the energy your body is just going to store it for later AKA fat
Consume fewer calories than you use in a day, then your body has to use your stored energy
Good luck friend and post before and afters here FJ loves fat people getting fit

Well one of the things that you could try is that when you can only think about food think about sex instead, that helped me when I was losing weight. As a general rule you should only compare yourself to yourself, so don't think about how fat you are compared to someone else, think how fat you are compared to you a month ago. Be proud of losing weight, not ashamed of not losing enough. You just have to be a bit better than you were yesterday to make progress.

To be honest dude, get a dog. When i broke up with my ex i put of heaps of weight. I was at 108kg and now I'm down to 82kg in little over a year. Sure i love me some cake here and there but then i get that dog and i go for a walk with him. Sure a dog is also quite expensive so use your nephew as inspiration, he is the foundation on which you will construct your new healthy habits. Any time you feel like you want to eat, ask your nephew if he wants to hang out or play some outdoor games. Walking/running alone is boring as fuck but being active with a person/dog is the best distraction. More important than anything, keep your chin up! stay strong and positive

Eat 1500 calories a day, and try to stay away from sweets.
Eat mostly meat and veggies. Make sure you take in alot of minerals, vitamins, and protein. You don't have to over complicate it. Just eat meat and leafy greens, you will get just about everything you need.
Do squats, pushups, burpees, and bent over rows (Pull ups when you get stronger) every day.
What I started doing was the deck of pain.
Draw a card, and that tells you what to do.
Clubs - bent over rows
Spades - Burpees
Hearts - pushups
Diamonds - squats
Do reps according to the number on the card
Jacks = 11
Queens = 12
Kings = 13
Aces = 11 (But when you get better I suggest Aces going until muscle failure)
I don't see anything wrong with taking small breaks in between cards if you are getting tired, that's what I do.
If you can't make it through all 52 cards, then just start with 15-20 cards a day and increase it week by week.
If you want to add different work outs, that is also cool.
None of these require going outside. And bent over rows only require weights.
#138 - carrotrot (12/29/2015) [-]
well the best way to get started for me was to start doing basic work outs in between game deaths or loading screens. the best way to get started is to just get started start with w/e you can jumping jacks push ups w/e buy some light weight dumbbells curl them w/e.
now as for temptation the best thing is to remove it will power is a resource and can run out. just tell someone to hide it if possible or just simply stay away, you cna make a punishment game outta it every time you go to the kitchen you gotta do 20 jumping jacks or something.

Just lost 10kgs in 3 months. I started running/crossfit (inb4 fag), but honestly, cutting soda out of your diet helps a ton, and believe it or not water starts to taste pretty decent, plus it's way cheaper to buy a case of water. The hardest part is staying away from junk food. What I did was take it step by step. I used to drink like 60 to 100 oz's of pop a day, I cut it down to maybe 30-50 oz's a day, before quitting pop entirely. Not eating sweets is still pretty hard for me, but I have a cheat day where I'll pretty much eat whatever I want in moderation, and that helps a lot. That'll help you start losing some weight but of course if you want to lose weight more quickly you'd want to start exercising. Since you're more worried about losing weight than building muscle I'd suggest you just do cardio if anything. Start by walking a kilometer or two a day, it wouldn't take long at all. Eventually start jogging every other block or so, and try to eventually get it so you could jog a whole kilometer. Then try running the kilometer. This is the process that helped me. If you can't quit the sweets and soda immediately, just try cutting down you intake day by day. Any progress is still progress, and I promise when you start seeing results you'll get hooked and keep going. The fact that you want to change is awesome. And also if you're embarrassed by jogging in public like I was, just try to block everyone out. One thing that helped me was thinking about how many joggers/runners I see everyday, and how much I don't focus on them at all. Basically meaning that no body really cares what you're doing, even if you think that they're silently judging you. And even if they are, you're trying to better yourself while they're sitting in their cars being pieces of shit. Good luck buddy!
#127 - perform (12/29/2015) [-]
One of the two steps is getting a healthy diet.
Don't cheat. There's nothing to cheat. If you think eating unhealthy junk food is cheating or rewarding, you have the wrong mindset.
If you are able to tell yourself "Wow it feels good to eat healthy! Look at me people, I'm abstaining from gorging myself in garbage!" and are able to to brag about keeping a healthy diet, you are doing it right.
A healthy lifestyle is the one you want, not a lifestyle that involves even a sliver of your old, fat lifestyle.
If you can exercise and keep a routine of exercise, you are able to tell yourself that you are doing the right thing. You are able to brag that you have a strict routine that you follow.
Don't do it for someone else, do it for yourself. Once you are able to satisfy your own needs for a healthy lifestyle, you have succeeded. The fitness and weight loss are only an addition to the reward.
#118 - forsakenxii (12/29/2015) [-]
im passive aggressive so what I did was move all of the unhealthy snacks to the buyers rooms until they confronted me about it
then i was like "if its near me i will eat it and I'm trying to lose weight"
then they eventually stopped buying trash food, but this probably only worked because they had diabetes and it was good for them as well

Everything the rest of the fellows say is pretty much okay to follow.
I just have some sidenotes:
1. It's really importand to to feel like you get results fast for a morale boost. The best way to do that is to cut sugar to zero. Sweets and soda are forbidden. You'll shed a good deal of pounds really quickly. And the cravings will go away in a week or two.
2. Never touch a scale. There's no need to. Stop the weight loss wherever you are comfortable at. And also it can mess you up. If you excersize along with the diet, it will seem like you have actually gained weight (because of the muscle mass).
3.Never stay alone and keep yourself busy.
#105 - catburglarpenis (12/29/2015) [-]
Then you can join the military with your quick run time and high pushup/situp numbers.
Seriously, the best possible thing for you to do is just join a group of people that already have the results you want and hang out with them as much as possible. It will be the most uncomfortable thing you'll ever do but if you want to get in shape they will drag you kicking and screaming to that goal if you get in good with them. That's why I like Crossfit- say what you want about them, but joining a Crossfit gym is closer to joining a football team than joining a gym. You keep the same workout schedule and the people that are there with you will slap food out of your fucking hands and drag you to the gym against your will after only a couple months of going there. Not only have I seen it, I've had it happen to me. Once you drink the cool-aid, they're going to get you in shape whether you like it or not.
That's why I joined the military. Everyone wants to look like a soldier, but everyone's afraid to simply become a soldier. It's not that bad guys, it's just a company.
#108 - catburglarpenis (12/29/2015) [-]
But you have guys in the military doing your paperwork, and concentrating on this point does not destroy all my other points. If the people in your military are in shape, than mission accomplished. Who cares about your country's military prowess when you're doing taxes for them?
Also French Foreign Legion. 'Nuff said.

Hi Kamusioso, I was in the EXACT same situation as you.
I was 228lbs in 02/15, by 04/15 I had lost 30lbs, and now I am steady at 185lbs!
I highly recommend "Nutritional Ketosis" aka the Ketogenic Diet.
The way it works is you burn YOUR OWN FAT for energy/fuel instead of Glucose.
>drink water only
>stop eating bread/pasta/rice/potatoes/soda/sweets/treats/chips/cereal/grain
>start eating cheese, eggs, bacon, avocados, nuts, meats, fish, butter, oils, vegetables and that just names a few..
>walk/exercise as intensely as you can
>body will deplete all of its Glycogen (glucose -"sugar" in its stored form)
>with no glycogen the brain tells the liver to produce what's known as "Beta Hydroxybutrate" or "Ketones" in order to fuel the body.
>Ketones are a by-product of your own FAT being burned to provide more energy.
It's basically tapping into the Plan B your body has if there is no food to eat and would start to burn its fat in order to survive. You burn your own fat for energy, and don't feel the need to consume as much in order to feel full since fattier foods make you feel fuller longer. This really does work, even WITHOUT EXERCISE. However you can speed up the process tremendously by exercising.
There's a lot more to Ketosis and weight loss (calories in < calories out) than this small post, I tried to make it simple. This really is the easiest way to lose weight. Look into it some more to see for yourself, hope this helps and best of luck!
#103 - anon (12/29/2015) [-]
You can brush it off, that's fine, I'm not the one who is 100kg asking for help, but I guarantee you it's the best way you're gonna lose weight and it's completely safe.
Also, you can get sufficient nutrition "vitamins/minerals" through supplementation of a multivitamin, but if you really think that you're not eating a diet one could label as 'malnutrition' right now - eating the garbage you do - then you're ignorant and any information I give you would be slighted. Remember, you are the one who is 100kg and asking for help, I walked down this road and here I am. Just saying..
#100 - blkjk (12/29/2015) [-]
I did a similar diet www.southbeachdiet.com/diet/
Went from 225lbs to 180 in a few months with exercise.
You end up not being hungry all the time like you typically are. According to the science behind the south beach diet people are constantly in a pre diabetic state from eating foods that break down into mostly sugars, so your body pumps out extra insulin then when your blood sugar drops you get hungry again right away. Once you go the first two weeks without having excess sugars most high sugar foods aren't very appealing.

I had the opposite problem, i was skinny as shit and just wanted to put on weight. Gaining/losing weight is just 2 words, calorie deficit. I know youve heard this a million times before but its because it fucking works. If youre serious about losing weight you either need to stop eating as much, or work out more. If you plan on working out and youre only interested in losing weight, do cardio. The first month honestly will and should suck, but I promise you as soon as you start seeing the changes everyday when u look in a mirror, youll start wanting to go instead of forcing yourself to go. Hit me up if you want a rundown on weights and what I did to grow muscles.
#135 - anon (12/29/2015) [-]
HIIT is the best way to go down in weight, combined with a diet of less-calories in than out. Do HIIT 4-5 a week, and see if you can do strength training 2-3 times a week in addition. Combined with a proper diet, you will see results quite quickly. I recommend tho not using a weight more often than once a month or even rarer, you will have your ups and downs in your weight loss, use the mirror instead and see the changes. Drink lot of water, it kills appetite.
Most important part of a diet is low-carb, and high in proteins. After a while without sugar and shit with sugar in it you will stop craving it. Have a high-carb "cheat meal" every fourth day, but dont let it make it exceed your daily calorie limit by much, and let it be "healthy" somewhat, not fucking cake or any shit like that (lots of good guides out there). A good thing to combine this cheat meal to after a good and long HIIT excersise. Cheat meal purpose is mentally help you and "trick" your body not going into complete starvation mode. I mostly ate chicken/salad/eggs when i was on mine, easy and quick to prepare, you can make a lot of chicken and just put it in your fridge and grab some through the week

Cardio. Cardio. Cardio.
I cannot stress that enough. Work that cardiovascular system and build your endurance. Over time you will find you can run longer, faster. It may be tiring, but you are building a good foundation for the rest of your fit life.
Lift. Lift. Lift. Some people might think lifting only builds muscles, but it burns calories like a son'bitch. Whether you are lifting to bulk or lifting to tone (cut), the activity of lifting is just as important as cardio. So get a good balance of both.
Eat. Eat. Eat. Some people think "I'll just skip a few meals and lose weight!" or "I'll just have a small salad and water with every meal." Both of these are wrong. While portion size is a huge factor you also have to realize that in order to work out and be active you will need energy. Your body makes energy from food. Do not be afraid to eat a good sized meal, but do not OVEReat and monitor what you eat. Go for lean meats (chicken, fish, turkey), plenty of veges (especially the green leafy kinds... Not just potatoes. Fuck me... How good are potatoes though?!), and remember those grains! Basically: eat well, eat enough.
Now the hard part. Commitment. It takes roughly three weeks to build a habit, so go hard or go home. Some people might say start out where you are comfortable, but I say push the envelope. Test your limits during the first three weeks but be smart about it. Don't just rush into something you have no idea about. Learn about routines, create your own. Do not rely on motivation alone. Motivation is great and inspiring, but it comes and goes. Can't have that. If you want to make a serious change for yourself you will have to build discipline. MAKE yourself get up and go. MAKE yourself choose water with a squeeze of lemon over a soda. It might suck at times, but it is will worth it, My Friend.
ALSO! Get good sleep. Grab those eight hours and dream! Dream of those sweet gains!

Talk to your family and let them know that you are serious about losing weight. Living with people who don't share your mentality is going to be the hardest obstacle. Instead of cakes, request that they cook healthier things more often. Look up recipes and get them hyped up about it. Ask them to come for walks and stuff too, even if it's just down the road to get some bread and milk. Your cousin will probably make a good walking buddy if he already wants to be around you all the time, and it will encourage him not to fall into your household's trap. If your family still wants to bake cakes, ask that they keep it in a secret place so you aren't tempted, or ask that they reduce their baking for special occasions only.

I was doing cardio after when I started but stopped that after getting past 200 lbs squats. I haven't really lost weight but damn I've been gaining muscle.

only eat sugar/sweets/cakes when you're FULL from healthy, low-calorie stuff (bread, rice or w/e). It's when you eat cake when hungry that you gain loads.
Burning fat requires low-intensity long exercises, such as slow jog (or fast walking) for 1-2 hours 3 times a week. The longer the better (avoid blisters).

Everyone here has good advice but you should remember that it's very important to start slowly and then commit more when you're comfortable. You don't want to completely change your diet and feel like you need to be on the big weights. What's important is consistency, as long as you're consistent you can work on being more efficient afterwards.

Hey man, I feel that situation. I'm 6"2 and I was 110KG earlier this year. I've tried exercising and dieting in the past, but never stuck with it so it never worked out. This time I found a way to make it work. I just cut out carbs. Completely. Make them seem like poison to yourself so you avoid the shit out of them. And let yourself be hungry. If you're sitting around at home, and you feel like snacking, then get up and leave. Go for a walk, go to the gym, get a job, get running, find a new hobby. Anything to keep you busy so that you're not sitting there and eating. Here is your new diet:
Breakfast: High fibre cereal, with low fat milk.
Lunch: This is a small meal. I started with having a plain salad every day for lunch, but I got bored of that and switched to having two hard-boiled eggs. They're low calorie, but give you enough energy to get through the day.
Dinner: A serving of meat no larger than the palm of your hand, lean if you can get it, AND WITH THE FAT CUT OFF. On the side, you have a salad, or brown rice, in a sensible size.
You are going to feel hungry. Sometimes your energy might be low. But on that diet, at 110KG and with no exercise, I lost 4KG in a week. I got myself down to 85KG in just under 3 months, with the help of running. I wasn't able to run a whole kilometer without stopping to walk. Now I can run 10km without slowing down. Get moving, get hungry, and get fit.
Consider taking a men's health supplement 3 times a week. They say daily on the packet, but you'll just piss most of that out. 3 times is fine. It'll help you feel good, and make sure you don't get any deficiencies on the low-intake diet.
#20 - anon (12/28/2015) [-]
1) Eat less crap. Ten minutes on a slice of chocolate cake can easily slap on an extra 500 calories, and those calories require an hour of intense physical workout. Remember that; it's more efficient to eat less than it is to work out more.
2) More healthy food. You can't just count 2000 calories of junk food and call it day; if your body thinks you're lacking too many vitamins, it'll make you feel hungry and force you to eat more. If you have a way to cook meals from scratch with vegetables and lean meats your body will stop doing that to you.
3) Exercise. Going for a 1-hour walk every day works. However, more intense workouts like jogging allow you to use your brain and body more efficiently. The key is to start with cardio and work your way out from there; you'll certainly worry less.
4) If you're struggling, and you eventually will, get social with it. Join a gym, find a sports club; find people who share your passion to get fit and the social pressure can guide you to sustainable fitness. Also, talking to people never hurt. They're imperfect and insecure like you; they just never show it because it's their business alone.
If you know your weight and height you can use it to calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI); and that gives an ideal start to show you where you lie and where you should be weight-wise. If you're 6'9" and weigh 220 pounds you're fine, but if you're 5'0" weighing that much is dangerous.
Getting fit ISN'T something you can do in a week's time. It'll take months before you get serious results. However, the long-term benefits can grant you unfettered confidence and drive where there was none before. You'll just have to see it for yourself.
#19 - blademontane (12/28/2015) [-]
If it is cake and cookies fuelling your weight, then simply never eat cake or cookies again. It will be difficult to beat the cravings for at least a week or two, but after that, it gets a lot easier. Then once you do that, drink only water. Doing only these two things, nothing else, will help you lose weight.
#16 - anon (12/28/2015) [-]
I'm not an expert on this but if you're trying to lose weight reducing your calorie intake by 20% or something while additionally doing basic sports (football/soccer, jogging, swimming or whatever you like) could be a good start. There are some good bodyweight exercises and of course hitting the gym is another way to gain muscle. In general eating is - of course - important and can feel good. It takes a lot of dedication and self control to stop eating candy and cakes, but that's probably the most important part. Maybe you should reduce your carbohydrate intake. Nutrition is the key, you don't have to starve. Smoking or consuming too much alcohol can have a serious effect on your health and weight. Doing stuff with friends can make it easier for you. You don't have to overtrain, but remember that consistency is important too and sometimes it is good to go for it despite you don't really want to.
Good luck and greetings from Germany (sorry for the bad English)!

I'd say that one of the greatest tools for losing weight is a diet app. Keep track of what you eat every day and any decent app should tell what kind of nutrients you need more or have in excess. Exercise is important for building muscle and confidence, but diet is what determines your weight. Eating 500 calories less than what you spend will equal a loss of 2 KG's per month, keep it up for less than a year and you will have reached your goal.
#10 - kweel (12/28/2015) [-]
Start hitting the gym thats the best way to start. atleast 4 times a week. The days you are the least motivated just fucking go there. Even if you just do like 2-3 exercises it doesnt matter you went and you'll do better next time when youre motivated. Sure eating properly is important. But the most important thing is working out. After you have been working out for a while. You will automatically seek better food as your body tells you what it needs. I speak from experience since i have been a lazy as motherfucker who did nothing but wake up, eat food and play videogames. If theres anything else just ask

After the first couple of weeks i signed up for a membership in the local Krav Maga center, and i started loosing weight FAST, plus i suddently have a confidence i never had before.
I knew i was more sporty, looking better and the ladies started to notice me way more than before.

Whenever you get the urge to eat. Do something physical. Press-Ups,Sit ups, put headphones in and go out somewhere. move about! ...you've got the ideal weather to sweat out and lose weight.
Even the smallest thing like turning junk food down will give you a little chemical high too.
Plus you're an idol to someone, use it. that makes you so much more than a fat loser alone!.
Chin up FJbro. Start something in the new year, work hard no matter how uncomfortable it gets and you'll make sure you can always be an idol to your Cousin.

Being so insecure that you'd dump a girl for saying that your ex is bigger is what would ruin the relationship, not the fact that she said it. I also disagree that alcohol shows who you really are because who you are is the total sum of what you do, not what you feel inside. Saying that jokes come directly from the subconscious is...well I dont know because that statement has no material. Do you mean that jokes are a subconscious indication of what a person truly feels? Because that isn't always the case, sometimes they are for the sake of humor because you know how the other person will react, regardless of your own feelings on the topic. For instance: I wrecked my truck when I was 16, but my driving record is flawless apart from that and I became a very skilled driver. My family acknowledges this, yet continues to mock me because of the crash. They don't subconsciously believe that I'm a bad driver, they just know they'll get a rise out of me when they bring it up. Also, stating that jokes are a result of the subconscious seems to imply that they weren't arrived upon overtly cognitive means, as if the joke occurred to them or was conjured from the subconscious rather than developed in the mind and wit.
Aside from all of that, it doesn't indicate that the girl was actually making fun of him. She was having a convo about sex with her gfs and so she was talking about sex, not ridiculing him. It seems like it was all women and him, she may have forgotten he was there for a moment. Either way, if you think that's ground for a break-up or if you get as bent out of shape as that guy did, then you have an insecurity problem and that's nobody's issue but your own. In other words, the girl didn't do anything bad, just a faux pas, the guy is overreacting.

first of all that is not an wiki article, it´s an META article.
The only Wikipedia article i could find was as fallwoing:
This god fucking shit School of Frankfurt.
Okay now for serious mate:
Marx teached a lot but one of his integral ideas was always one: That People build open an culture of productivity. See now this is the Thing, you tell me that there seems to be (seemingless just loneys or very sarcastic People seem to love to title themself cultural Marxist) an Marxist idea, which says that anyone can not be on the same class, as cultured splits us apart, and yes it makes partly sense in some ways, but... in this case it was not about destruction of all culture to 0, but more about erasing of the parts of culture that disturb the idea of People beeing equal, or else it would countradict Marx primär ideals. So even than, every SJW would just be as much an Extremist in their own right again, not beeing able to be taken serious (which they are barrely)
But here Comes the Problem: Marx theory focused about production and state, but not about culture, for Marx culture was nothing more but an tool for Society to Archive higher productivity.
The heart, mind, and soul of orthodox Marxian socialism is this: the concept of economic determinism. Marx argued that socialism is historically inevitable because of the inevitable transformation of the mode of production. He argued that the mode of production is the substructure of society, and culture in general is the superstructure. He argued that people hold a particular view of society's laws, ethics, and politics because of their commitment to a particular mode of production. The dominant mode of production in 1850 was capitalism. Marx named this mode of production. The name has stuck, even though original Marxism is culturally dead.
Marx gained support for his position precisely because it was purely economic/materialist. It abandoned all traces of historical explanation that were based on the idea that ideas are fundamental to the transformation of society. Marx believed that the deciding arena of class warfare is the mode of production, not the arena of ideas. He saw ideas as secondary outgrowths of the mode of production. His view was this: ideas do not have significant consequences. Take this idea out of Marxism, and it is no longer Marxism.
So either Social Marxism calls itself just Social Marxism because 1.) it was created by the god fucking damn Frankfurter School, 2.) because idiots have no fucking idea that marx says that societys culture right now is nothing more but an mirror to fine tune productivity, or 3.) because right wing People think it sounds far more horrorfieng then: Liberal Socialist Extremist (which would be People that try to destroy social norms to "free" themself via the help of the state, even if it has to be forced.)

Thanks for the reply . Also, thank you for pointing out the fact that the article I linked wasn't actually a wikipedia article, thatnk completely avoided me. :p
But anyway, what people are referring to as cultural Marxism isn't taking Marx's theories of culture and applying them to our culture, but taking his theories of everything else and applying them to culture. For example, what you just described is pretty much the sort of thing you would find in a bell hooks book, but applied to culture and the concept of a patriarchy.
I agree with you that the term is overused and sounds stupid, but the point I'm making is that it isn't simply Marx's views on culture applied to the real world.

There are quite a lot of feminist textbooks that refer to the idea of a patriarchy exactly the way just described. Those are the people referred to as cultural marxists.
