im sorry but everything in dbz was (for the most) pretty well thought out i mean even i will admit there are some holes in the logic (like krillin never using his destructo-disc right after solar flare) but on that same subject there are a lot more hole ttgl by comparison of lengths vs number of holes in logic dbz was longer and allowed for more holes but the fact is ttgl had to many for as short as it was

TTGL went as far as it needed. Not too long, nor too short. And all shows have plot holes out there, though I'd like to know what ones you're pointing out exactly...
But besides that, I feel like DBZ went on too long. And with the fights, half the time they're either talking or charging up. And the show felt very repetitive. "New powerful foe comes along either wanting domination or to fight Goku, everyone attempt to fight, some die, they eventually win, revive the fallen with dragon balls." TTGL at least ties all the foes to each other and it carries the story along like it should.

well speaking logically
1 its far more likely for humans to gain dbz-esque abilities than for a robot to be able to sustain itself when its larger than 15 galaxies put together
2 how the fuck did they build a city of thats size and advance their technologies that much in that ten or fiteen year time jump even when you have giant fucking rpbots its just too far fetched for me to believe its even slightly possible to do something like that
those were my 2 biggest issues with ttgl there were a bunch of more minor things i caught when i watched it but i would have to go back and re watch it to remember them cause i watched it like 120 series ago and i dont feel like doing that since i have a long list of things i still need to watch

1 Not even gonna touch that first point, cause both sides are far fetched, TTGL just leads it to fighting spirit.
2 It was 7 years, and the civilization was already partially there because it was the beastmen capital and they were pretty advanced there. With Simon and the gang there, they just improved, and coexisted with the beastmen.
And if you need to rewatch gurren lagann, yet dont have too too much time to put in, go watch the gurren-hen and lagann-hen movies. Just 4 hours total.

my point with the first one was more or less science is far more likely to provide some sort of creation in the next 1000 years that would make the events of dbz far more likely than than ttgl even if the human singularity should occur dbz type shit will happen far sooner than ttgl type shit
the second point was that even with reverse engineering it would take far longer than the time elapsed to develop the kinds of technologies that they had and from what i recall the beastmens capital city was almost completely obliterated so yeah seven years is still far too fast to rebuild something so large

DBZ could be 100% not likely too happen, for most any of it to happen, there would have to be alien races, which we don't know if any exist. As for Gurren Lagann based things happening, we have been making robots, just not huge ones, and the main source of energy (fighting spirit) is something that already exists.
And for the technological advancement thing, Team Dai Gurren had 2 of the worlds renounced minds on their side( Leyte and Leeron), who could find a solution for a problem and build something to fix it in minutes.
