Take x and y, where both x and y are equal and not zero.
x = y
x^2 = xy
x^2 - y^2 = xy - y^2.
subtract (x-y)
x + y = y.
2 y = y.
Y is not zero, so 2 = 1
subtract 1
1 = 0.
#112 - kadrismieryu (07/22/2015) [-]
x^2 - y^2 = xy - y^2.
subtract (x-y)
x + y = y.

So you subtract x-y from both sides, but somehow you magically go from xy - y^2 to just y?
