Worst case scenario about the beard is it's shitty for the first few weeks. Almost every male out there grows full beards, as without genetic deformity or scarring, hair follicles are everywhere on the lower face (we're apes, afterall). It just might take a while. Look at Keanu Reeves, for example.

Another thing is crowds. Most upper classmen walk around in small groups, whereas freshmen tend to walk around in large groups. Find one or two good friends, all grow beards, and go as you please.

As for the alcohol, yeah that's a drag. CAH is good, but most people are down for things like mario party, board games, or anything competitive. Watch movies with neighbors and whatnot. None of those things are good with booze, but can be played with much fewer people needed for a party, and is almost as wanted.

Here's a tip i wish I did freshman year: when there's a big party and everyone leaves the dorm, go knock on the rooms with cute girls in them. If you're lucky, you'll find a cutie who doesn't feel like partying all the time. Start hanging out with her. Life will improve dramatically man.

Hm. Then wear your backpack less often, and grow a beard. But I'd say don't worry about it. I'm a junior right now at SLU, and I think the whole "lel freshmen" is dumb. If anything, it's something to tease about, and if they do tease you about it, don't hold back from doing the same

Yeah, beard is a good idea, though I'm not sure if I can grow a good one. My only problem with the freshman thing is there's almost nothing to do in this town without booze at it, and nobody wants to let freshmen anywhere there is. I guess I'll just have to settle for playing CAH with people.

I'm a 19 year old Junior and the same age as a lot of Freshmen, but I've found that literally nobody cares at all as long as you don't bring it up. I am assuming you are talking about outside of school itself, so that doesn't really help ya, but just thought I'd lay it on ya anyways.
Besides that, there's really nothing you can do short of getting big from working out and growing a beard or something like blue said. Don't carry a big backpack is another thing to note. And you don't have to get super duper dressed up for every class unless you want to. You can very visibly tell who the freshmen are in very early classes because they usually get all dressed up in polos, while the upperclassmen are in pj's.

You can't, really. In class, you're in first year classes, typically. And sociallizing, you're with other freshmen. Also, when you talk about school, it's impossible to avoid it coming up. However, what you can do to come off as an irregular freshman, in the good way, is try talking about more deep things and less small talk stuff. I don't mean like "yo man that was deep" stuff, I mean detailed stuff about majors or academic stuff, and things like philosophy. Talk with substance, and you won't seem green.

I know I couldn't fake the attitude, but theres people in this town that can see from a block away that I was a freshman and I just don't know how they do it
