God is infinite consciousness being filtered through our limited minds.
That is why all EUREKA! moments come from a state of complete silence and self reflection and when you're not thinking. That idea and infinite information and possibility comes from the void. That void is ultimate consciousness. God only knows we're here because he is us, looking at the world through our eyes forgetting that he was once a masterful infinite consciousness but chose to live the life of every mortal and immortal creature in the universe in order to actually have an experiences with his creation. What you are not, is your thoughts. Your thoughts are your brain, that voice in your head? it's your brain. None of that inner dialouge is actually YOU.

We're not omnipotent/omniscient like God would be, so no, we're not "asking ourselves" that question, we're asking why an omnipotent/omniscient God this question.

Oh I get it. You have your own idea about how the universe works with respect to religion and think it's superior to everyone else's.

Because god can do whatever he wants. and since we are god then you're just asking yourself, "why would I commit sin"
We are in his image, translation "We are one with everything/god"
As an all powerful being like we all are, we can choose to disobey the natural order of creation and cause destruction if we want to.

True. But then we go back to the original argument. Why would God not stop Satan if God can do whatever he wants?

He allowed Adam and Eve to be misled in the Garden of Eden which lead to our mortality. Being omniscient, he knew Eve would eat form the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Being omnipotent, he did not stop it when he could have. Meaning, if he was real, he would have wanted it to happen.

Wow, we're getting deep here. But since God is all knowing. That means Jesus had to be part of his plans from the get go. Jesus' whole purpose was to die for our sins. If there is no sins. Then what is the purpose of Jesus? Sin existed before mankind. Apparently even the Angels sinned. But Jesus stated you can't destroy an Angel. So how must we eliminate sin? So that means God created a race that could die. We had to first sin in order for Jesus to have meaning. So God allows Adam and Eve to be mislead to create a world of sin so he could send his son to die for our sins and grant us humans hope after we die. So I guess that means the meaning of life is basically to die then?

Wow this is so much deeper than I wanted to go.

If you are all powerfull, taking stuff is easy. Making people believe its not taken in the first place is more fun.

He wants us to suffer and what will make people suffer more than living on earth with all the corruption? And us getting attached to family members only to have them die and for us to believe in heaven but end up in hell
#72 - juckinfunk (08/30/2012) [-]
But once again, hell is supposed to be suffering. Why not just take us right away for all eternity? There is still a heaven apparently cuz there is a God if there is a devil. So if he let's us be. Then there is still a chance he won't get our soul. If he is more powerful than God. Why take the chance?
