**anonymous rolls 2,642**I think one reason might be because we can't gauge the age of people over the internet and there is a "brony" label that is most distinctly applied to aged fat men who watch MLP.

I personally found MLP itself only annoying in completely changing the original source material into regular TV junk.

I found the MLP crowd annoying when they had a big outlash against anti-MLP things when the show first launched (back when it had Derpy) because there was MLP all over the place and it was annoying.

Other things I should say is that the only people I've ever personally seen like MLP are one 16 year old and two pre-puberty kids on voice chat.

There is also an insane amount of MLP porn. I have no idea why it has just flooded some sites.

Yeah, fedoras are nice looking hats, so the hat isn't what's receiving the hate, it's the person wearing it. (Mainly because very few people can pull off the style of a fedora, much like very few people can pull off looking good with John Lennon-style glasses.)

in my opinion style is how you wear it. anyone can look good in just about anything if their personality fits. ive met men who actually pull off fedoras they have the style the attitude for it. but ive seen the opposite. the hat is almost a mask. if you dont fit a style then dont wear it. i dont mean how you look just how you walk it. if you can rock that shit then do it. i dont care how you look.
User avatar #29 - jonaskram (03/12/2014) [-]
You're completely right. I was thinking the same, but then again, I was a little worried the hat itself had become some kind of universal symbol of douchebaggery. Thanks anyway.

Fedoras are the traditional garb of those with only those with the most bearded necks.
User avatar #44 - Eiza (03/12/2014) [-]
People wear them without proper grooming and attire, making themselves look like idiots to begin with, but then acting like they're extremely attractive just because of a stupid hat. It doesn't matter if the hat's fancy if the person wearing it is a pretentious dumbass.

I'll mutilate the words of Action Hank: It's not the fedora on the outside, it's the fedora on the inside.

And due to how skettiheads have ruined the good name of the fedora, me saying that just then really looks awful now that I read it, even though it does make sense.

I'm probably not a hat fan in general, but I find them buttugly.
I just never understood why people wore them.

Fedoras Are Awesome

"Fedoras" have become a symbol of a certain type of people. A certain type of people tend to wear trilbies and flaunt them, and there are so many of these similar type of people, that anyone who isn't one but has the misfortune of wearing one instantly gets labeled. In this case the certain type of people would be "Atheist Neckbeard Bronies". In addition, it's just one of those clothing accessories that looks dorky on most people, regardless of personality. It's hard to take someone in a trilby seriously.

That makes as much sense as getting cut off in traffic and hating the car that cut you off instead of the driver, or convicting a gun of murder, not the person that fired it.
User avatar #90 - Yojimbo (03/13/2014) [-]
Kind of. More like:
> You get cut off by Ford Focus
> You write it off as a bad driver
> You get cut off by a few more Ford Focuses
> Pass it off as odd coincidence
> You get cut off by 100 Ford Focuses, and you start to wonder if there is some correlation between Ford Focuses and obnoxious drivers

Get cut off by enough Ford Focuses and you learn to dislike them just on sight

People don't like it because people they don't like wear them
User avatar #23 - littleliz (03/12/2014) [-]
its in a sense both. its kind of this typical personality that goes a long with hat wearers. i see quite a few personalities. so because of that it became the hat wearer and the hat. but in all reality the hat itself is nice. but also its how people look when they wear it
User avatar #24 - jonaskram (03/12/2014) [-]
I see. If I were to do a confession bear thingy, it'd have to be that I like fedoras. I have yet to use one since I don't want to be taken as some kind of asshat (no pun intended), but I think it'd suit me.
