I just felt that 5 was overall a better game, but minor improvements could make it so much better. Such as having a melee and ranged unit on the same tile, or planes could actually move out of cities. I don't like the city growth mechanics or the looks of towns and units.

I much prefer the hex grid.

I didn't have an issue with the grid. It just seemed like they took away too many features. I like the way the land you owned was done in IV, and I liked the way the political side of things worked. The only thing I liked about V was the fact you could bombard towns from far away and the hex.

Our president is black so at least half of the US voted for a race that over half of the us is supposedly racist against. Also I've got several links to a few articles, like a police department that threw out test exams and scores because if they took them in, they would have hired too many white people. Like a Ph D who was denied employment because they had to hire a woman or a black person. Like a white male who used the word niggardly (scandinavian decent, means cheap) and was forced to resign because of it. Of a student who was charged with harassment for reading an ANTI-KKK book infront of black students. Now there is also proof from a whistle blower that the Department of Justice is actually ignoring voting right cases when the victim is white.

Gotta love white privelege. Let me know if you want the links.

i do not know the exact situation that you or the black manager are in, so i cant really comment on that. moreover, that is a personal experience that is not really quantifiable.

what kind of job do you work at? if his job was costing his company money, they would have fired him by now if he was actually making mistakes that cost money. his color offers him no protection, depending on the company, they could dismiss him easily especially in this day and age.

Yea, that shit happened to me when I first went into college. I applied for financial aid and I got most of it, but I talked to my hispanic friend and he applied after I did, got more money than the cost of the tuition, and his parents both made more money than my single mother did. Guess the races of the financial aid people, they were all black and hispanic.

that's not true. and you can Google if affirmative action is even still happening, the law has expired. if more people of color were giving these "free passes", then why is it that the majority of ceos, managers, teachers, and representatives of higher management are predominately white?
User avatar #97 - joberja (10/19/2014) [-]
I have a racist answer to that, but...

I currently work under a black man. He's made mistakes and, despite that there is someone who is equal to him in many ways but has not made the mistakes and even corrected many of them, he remains in the position because of his color. Affirmative action may no longer be a law but it still happens.

being white is not a detractor, a tleast in my opinion. being white can hurt your chances in some regards, however, not likely.

Except when you consider that schools have a requirement to have a certain amount of other ethnicity, but not white people. Except when you consider affirmative action, where the minority must be hired over the white person. Except when you consider funding availability for school that isn't available to people of the light skinned race. What does being white get you, except guilt for what some of our ancestors did.
