Eh personally I don't think you were big enough for a cut, but you definitely aren't at a single digit bodyfat percentage.

Still, good progress for 3 months.

Well I was simply cutting cause I wasn't trying to be all that big. Also yeah I know I think the 9% was ambitious, I tend to overestimate. But I will say that it definitely is lower (at least marginally) than it was in the picture I just posted.

And you're lean, don't get me wrong, single digit is just pretty crazy lean.

Oh yeah no sorry if it seemed like I was offended haha nah I get it, 9% is pretty low. I think I'm like 188 or something, don't have a scale at my disposal so I can't really check. Before I got back to school I was 191 and I'm certain that I've lost weight since then. I'm 6'2, so that's partly why I tend to think a little lower than what I actually am.

Also - nice dude, you look good. Any suggestions on shit to do for traps that isn't just shrugs? I do shrugs now and then, but like I said, I often go for muscle confusion and one single exercise isn't great for that. (obv asking bc you have well-developed traps, but in case that wasn't clear here's the explicit compliment haha)

Biggest thing that's helped me for traps is doing rows with long pauses at the top. I saw more trap growth from 12 reps of dumbbell shrugs with a 3 second hold at the top with 65 pounders than I ever did trying to shrug 200-300 pounds with some body english. Also helps your grip a ton.

Yeah I always do dumbbell shrugs, I hate barbell shrugs. I've been trying pre-fatiguing. I'd hold one rep for 60 seconds at like maybe 60 pounds, then do like 10 reps after. I think I just haven't done them often enough. But yeah I'll try the rows for that. Thanks man

I focused a lot on muscle confusion. I lifted 6 days a week and ate at 500-750 cals above my TDEE. I'd lift for about 2-3 hours a day after work, got worried about overtraining for a bit but I don't think it ever really set in. Mostly focused on hypertrophy, so I'd work muscles til failure on just about every 3rd set of an exercise and then every set after. Since I was bulking I didn't really do much cardio. Started cutting with about 2 weeks to go in the summer (so it's been about a month since I started cutting) and dropped a couple BF%. I'm down to about 9/10% I think. This picture is about 3 weeks old I think. Obv 3 weeks isn't enough to see a huge difference, but I feel much less sluggish which I think is a good sign.
