Yeah, I feel you.

Recently I've read a lot of studies that say 3+ minute rests (I know it sounds crazy) between each set creates the most stress and muscle growth, I've tried it out and I can see where it comes from, It gives me more time to "mentally prepare" so to speak, gives me more energy, and that set that would be 8 reps turns into 15. Even though I've seen a lot of people agreeing and I even agree myself, its just kinda weird doing nothing for 3 whole minutes so I don't do it every set.

That's an interesting thought. I've kinda done that but I think I've found supersetting (as douchey and annoying as it sounds to say) to be pretty effective. For instance, I'd do a set of pull ups, then take a minute rest, then do a set with another muscle group. Maybe abs or something, one minute rest, then back to pull ups. so all in all it would total to about 3 minutes, so yeah I think I agree with that amount of rest time. Recently it's been a little more difficult because I'm back at my school gym which is a lot more crowded and pullup bars are hot commodities.
