Me neighbor has an automated sprinkler system.

It runs from 6am to 7am and from 5:30pm till 6pm.

He never turns it off. Even when it's raining.
"I can't be bothered to remember to turn it back on, so I leave it on" his exact words when I asked him why they were running when it was raining.

This entire post is speculation on my part, not an expression of anything trump has said

The same way america currently kicks out a much smaller number of illegal immigrants, just by increasing funding to the department of immigration or whatever it is

Realistically i suspect not too much will be spent on investigation, the government most likely has a huge list of known illegals it'll just crack down on. Others that are obvious would be rounded up too. I think many that make a serious effort to hide will slip through the net, at least initially

But in his position, i'd also introduce a bounty program. Inform the police about a suspected illegal, and you'll get a little cash reward if you're right. Theres a lot of poor people with too much time on their hands, that'd provide an incentive for them to go on the snoop, as well as causing illegals that remain to be more careful and commit less crime hopefully.

Re: 14th amendment. The change will not be retroactive, it wouldn't make sense. They are legally american citizens and that wouldn't be taken away, it'd just apply to all future anchor babies born from some point onwards.

You're slapping a band-aid on a severed limb and pushing away people trying to re-attach the limb, saying you need the band-aid there.

There are approximately 11 million illegal immigrants. Do you have any idea how much money it would cost to make a "bounty" program? Lets say for the sake of argument that the government would give out 10 dollars per illegal immigrant, assuming that any decent person would deport someone for 10 dollars, that would already be 110 Million dollars out of the taxpayers pocket. Not to mention the incredible amount of flak we would get from other countries if they found out that we were hunting down humans like dogs. How exactly would we transport the immigrants out of the United States? We would have to cram them into the back of trucks, trains and buses which would cost millions in fuel and would take hundreds of thousands of manhours which would mean that we would have to pay for the salaries of the people transporting immigrants and honestly there are hundreds of things wrong that would violate the UN Charter.

100 dollars to the first person to correctly report each illegal

that's 1.2 billion if it's all done entirely through bounties, though it'd more likely be a far lower percentage.
this is a drop in the bucket compared to the economic effect, and relief on healthcare and government services that would result

The flak? What flak? You're just deporting illegal immigrants, something which every country in the world does, every day. Being more effective at it is nothing to be ashamed of, trump would laugh off such pressure and probably insult the speaker

Re transport: Contract a bus company. That's easy, and cheap compared to other aspects.

Re: Employment costs; a significant part of it would be covered by using people already on the payroll better. Like the military which spend most of their time on guard or in training exercises.

Just scale everything up a bit
