Sadly too, it seems like the fruits of our labor isn't really all being given to us. With outsourcing and inflation the value of pay is really down the drain. It's not all bad, but finding a job is insanity. I'm unemployed, not in school and without any future prospects myself. It was very frustrating trying to find a job and now I'm just in limbo.
For someone as intelligent as myself, and someone who simply wishes to make the most of themselves, this is just too sad. The last job I had I worked 7 days a week, 3-4 hours a day. I worked for about a month before haven't to leave. I made a heeping, $400 after taxes.
From my experience, employers just want the quickest monkey they can work to death and take advantage of. There are good jobs out there I suppose, but the right to earning the fruits of your labor--just like sleep--is a luxury.

I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully you wont be in limbo too much longer.
My husband is at a standstill right now too. He works 40-50 hours a week and barely brings anything in after taxes :(
It really puts a strain on us because its making me the 'bread winner' right now.
I was watching FOX earlier and they said you can't really trust the unemployment rating statistics that come out month to month seeing as they're actually 'job anticipation rates'
Of course that's saying I would have to trust the media first to believe that., and Im not sure if I do.
