that is what /b/ did//still doesto people back in the days.
But i dont question the fact that this internet hype will haunt amy for the rest of her life...after her grand re-opening (tomorrow i think) she wil be fully booked for a few weeks. But the diners wont come for the food, but to see her freak out. Some of them will arive with full stomach, expecting it will take hours for them to receive their order.
After that the restaurant will stop making money and soon it will be closed for good. We will all move on with our lives, sometimes we will repost or reminice. But thats all for us...those 2 on the other hand wil spend the rest of their lives in debt haunted by their own mistakes. Probably stil thinking its the internets fault

Don't listen to the guys below.
I like fedoras, too. The problem lies with the fact that they used to be seen as classy and stylish. New-wave generations of awkward socialites who admire the classy era without exhibiting its classiness leached on to the iconic hat, probably originally in an attempt to look cool and edgy themselves, but in turn sort of ruined it. Overuse was common, often wearing a fedora with casual clothes that just didn't the criteria for wearing a fedora. It also became increasingly obvious the ones who typically wore fedoras like this were awkward guys merely trying too hard to look edgy. With this, the hat has lost its "edge" in today's world, BUT can still look pretty damn good when paired with a matching suit, as it was originally intended to be worn with.

Thumbs up for agreement.
Also, marketing and having a solid product is everything. EVERYTHING. If people don't know your product exists, someone else can claim first and people will believe the other guy. Deal with it.
Also, I won't speak of Samsung or NCR because I've no experience, with it, but there is a significant difference between MS's invention and Apples. Sure, they're both computers with touch screens attached, but so is your GPS, and you don't cry foul that they're copying MS/Apple.
First off -- the iPad was meant for casual users, hence the software keyboard. The MS products were meant for students and people in the industry, because one can actually be productive with an attached keyboard. And finally (because it's funnyjunk and ZOMG I FOUND SOME1 WRONG ON INTERNET MUST CORRECT instinct is dieing), iOS is WORLDS apart from XP. iOS was made for full touch interaction. Windows XP i doubt even had a built-in software keyboard. (Granted, MS introduced handwriting recognition/sw keyboard/etc in vista/7) If you want to argue that the experience isn't shitty, have you tried using Win8 on a desktop? Figuring out how to use it properly is HELL. Because the UI was designed around use on a tablet. (Although, when you do figure out how to use it properly, shortcuts and all, you can probably navigate it with a mouse+keyboard only faster than Win7. I can, at least). Apple was the first to put all of the pieces together. The right hardware, the right software, and the right marketing. Samsung got the first two of those (or maybe just the first one; like said, I've no experience with it). So they get the publicity, fame, and money.
Have a nice day. :)
