People like The Grinch. The original more than the Jim Carrey one but I think both are pretty well liked. Lorax wasn't bad either.

Well, it's really hard to capture that Seussian feel with live action media.
Animated features are more liked because there's more artistic freedom and are timeless compared to a live actor and the props being constrained by real life.

The Lorax Nostalgia Critic
That, and the fact that most new imaginings of old stories (especially those by Dr. Seuss) completely miss the point of the original tale. This is best explained by Nostalgia Critic

That was fucking annoying. He tore apart everything he possibly could about the film when the real question is: "Is it a fun movie? Is it enjoyable to watch? Did it convey the idea of the book?" the answer is yes in all 3 cases. He bitches about the pop songs, the character voices, and styles that will seem dated in a few years.... Who gives a fuck? Watch a movie from the 1920s and the voices, songs and outfits are all outdated. We learn to deal. and literally something he said was "Fad is just one letter away from fade. Fads fade away" lol forever at how cringeworthy that is. And bitching about corporate pandering? Really? The movie would not have been made without a marketing budget, so even though it goes against the theme of the book it's a necessary evil. Does this guy just get youtube views from bitching? The Lorax is a legit fun movie, I saw it with my younger cousin when it was in theaters and we both had an awesome time. I'll watch it again when I have kids. It was my favorite book as a kid and I'm proud of the movie adaptation, fuck Nostalgia Critic.
