Well the good news is that just as you can fuck up your dopamine receptors, you can un-fuck them up as well. The human body is adaptable, you can pretty much force it to do whatever you want with enough effort (within the bound of biology of course).

It feels like my breaking point is approaching, but I don't want to wait for my breaking point. I know what I need to do. I just don't want to feel sub-human.

I may never understand how somebody can stay addicted to something. If you don't want to do it then just don't do it.

And I know it's because I've never been addicted to anything, but I'd imagine if you wanted to stop you could just play video games nonstop and sleep a lot until withdrawals left. But I guess I wouldn't know.

When you get addicted to something, it's NOT a conscious decision. Imagine have a PERMANENT and STRONG craving for something, that you just can't ignore and nothing else quiets that craving. Now imagine it CONSTANTLY. You don't have a choice on just stopping. You have to constantly fight yourself not to give into that craving.

Erh, fucking work on it?

"My whole life was genetically determined before I was even born and I have absolutely no say it how my life will go" - what kind of shitty attitude is that? Step up and take responsibility for your life.

I work on it everyday. I just don't know if what I'm doing is enough in the long run.

I'm 20 and at the point where I'm not quite sure if I'm losing hair or not. When it's short and wet I look 50 (can't use gel because "hello scalp"), but when it's dry it's fine. Not sure if it's thinning or was always this way, since I've had it long and scruffy since I was 13.

If I am going bald I'll just yolo it and go bald eagle I guess
