So, on an unrelated note, apparently doctors hadn't mastered their recon techniques when my aunt was being born. Her parents wanted an abortion, and the doc made it happen, but the mother kept swelling as the weeks moved on. They told her it was just a hormonal thing, the aftermath of the pregnancy, but it turns out she was actually pregnant with twins, and only one had been aborted. By the time they found out, it was too late (3rd trimester or whatever it is) to have the remaining child aborted. So they had a kid they literally would have tried to kill.
I think a malpractice suit would have been in order, but they didn't.
Interestingly, fast forward a few decades and she's having her own kids. She's having twins too, and apparently the little bastards were always resting on top of one another or something. She had the first via C-section, and the doctor was about to start stitching her up when the nurse pointed out that there was another kid. So she had unexpected twins.
Makes me glad I'm only related to them by marriage. No surprises for me, thanks.

I'll tell you why this comparison is valid and then you'll tell me why it is not.

1)Op takes statistics out of an analytic context to support an idea that is false. Feminists too.
2)Feminist's argument to support the idea that women need to be paid more is based on a statistic that shows that average women make less money than average men. That statistic doesn't show, however that women don't take harder or more dangerous jobs, like mining, soldiering and so forth. Men do. And it makes sense that someone who may die or end up crippled due to their job earn more money than someone whose worst job-related concern is monotony and mild stress. Op brings up statistics that show that black people belong to a bigger demographic related to those disadvantages but he doesn't even analyze them. The low level of education, for example, could be linked to the fact that in places where more black people live (which coincidentally has to do with the fact thatpeople with poor education usually have more children, and that also affects whites (see rednecks)) the education conditions are worse, the teachers are less prepared to deal with students that come from that demographic and the infrastructure isn't ready to sustain a better education. But op ignores that kind of analyses because they would weaken his point, trading scientific validity for fanatism and dogmatism.

He sustains his argument with statistics that are conviniently isolated from any kind of analysis and grossly oversimplified (in his exposition), making his point stand on a fallacy. Even though that what he proposes is technically true, he implies that their race is the sole reason why the black population of The USA are subjet to these statistics. Like #109 said, many of the causes of the social issues of the black population of America (and the issues that they represent in 'Murica's society) are linked to causes that not related at all with their genes.
Black people have proven to be able to adapt and prosper in Freedonia's society and, like it or not, they can be as succesful as any white or asian or hispanic person. Now the fact that the blacks who have lived there for generations, since the time of slavery, who have formed their own society in the margins of Murica's vainilla society and that conflicts with it; is a completely diferent thing. That's not a racial phenomenon. That's a social phenomenon that can be compared with similar phenomena that happen in almost every fucking place in the world (see muslims and gipsies in Europe, Negros Villeros in argentina, canis/chonis in spain, etc).

The reason why this kind of bullshit drives me up the fucking wall is that the fact that people support it is proof that people is more prone to support a point of view that "feels" right "in their opinion" than one that actually has bin built upon reasoning and analysis of data. If this goes on, shi will never change. We'll always be a group of impulsive monkeys that follows whichever monkey screams the loudest, no matter if he's right or wrong.

tl;dr: with op's reasoning, the feminists are right for asking for more money because women get paid less.
