Not to even say that being a Garbage Collector, Coal Miner, Construction Worker, or Truck Driver isn't a demanding job or even a bad job, especially if you truly enjoy it.(Though Coal Mining is known for reducing the lifespan of its workers so I think it's not exactly a great field either).

I still don't think you're allowed to do that though, under labor laws, even if she was technically in a managerial position. Not that I don't find the story a cruel, funny case of "be careful what you wish for".

That's Link's Awakening and technically falls between the realm of those two games in the "Dream World" because of the final boss. Both games where the final boss appears, though I forget his name, it ends up just being a dream world that effects both games, but they never actually fused together or anything.

And that's also a pretty old game and... I dunno. I just want the game to be 'Nintendo Kart' over Mario Kart if they want to put in those characters. Just like I want them to stop making Mario Party, and stop using the stupid car system, and make 'Nintendo' Party.

I know I was being sorta satirical.

And Mario Kart still plays like Mario Kart, even with the bonus characters who were really just a little bonus. Unlike Mario Party which is...just, ugh. Calling it a shadow of its former self would be an insult because at least it would appear to be something like its former self (mind you the games turned really bad after 5).

Oh, the track part is fine, if you mean the Mario Kart DLC. I just don't like that it puts in Link and Animal crossing characters when it's set up to be in the Mario world.

It's just weird, and Link looks pretty dumb on a mini motorcycle. Maybe if his knees didn't bend on them...

What part of not deleting a comment is "brave"? It just means I don't care about my thumbs on this site.

I was going to ask if your name was a spin off of eridium from Borderlands, then I read your comments and now I'm kinda disappointed. Also, I live in San Jose too.

Haven't played that game in forever, still have the first one in my collection. But nope. And I get all sorts of other ideas, like someone mentioned a Death Metal song. I was just into chemistry when I was little and the name sort of stuck.

Also, cool. What part of SJ?

what is iridium used for
tell me please
User avatar #5 to #4 - iridium ONLINE (11/05/2013) [-]
Well, it's a verrrrry rare earth metal. In fact so rare, that most of it is impossibly deep underground (hypothesized to have sunk underneath the surface when the earth was still covered in molten material), although it is more abundant in meteorites. Because of its density, corrosion resistance, high durability from wear and high heat capacity it can be used for a good number of things en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridium#Applications here's some examples . However, due to its rarity (it's 40 times rarer than gold), it's often either used in extremely small amounts with compounds or its used with very expensive machines. A very small amount of iridium (along with osmium) is used for compass bearings. There are also iridium crucibles which work extremely well in high heat.

i thought gold wasnt supposed to be rare, just very useful?
User avatar #7 to #6 - iridium ONLINE (11/05/2013) [-]
Gold's not really that useful for all that many scientific things actually, partly because it's naturally brittle. It's just really ****** shiny and glistens. That said, it really isn't bad either. Seriously, you can eat gold leaf and it's pretty non toxic, though the only reason why I think anyone would do that would be to say "look at me I got so much expendible income I can afford to **** gold!"
User avatar #9 to #7 - adplum (11/05/2013) [-]
yeah, i know about that. They put it on really expensive ice cream at restaurants near my house, and isnt gold supposed to be worth a lot because of how malleable and unaffected by chemicals it is?
User avatar #8 to #7 - iridium ONLINE (11/05/2013) [-]
That said, it is highly conductive and has some medical uses as well. And it can be stretched thin and it deflects ice and radition well, so it can be used for that. The vast majority of gold sales however is for jewelry.
User avatar #10 to #8 - adplum (11/05/2013) [-]
oh, yeah i can see that.
well thanks for the info, been trying to figure that out for a while

Usually I just delete comments because I change my mind about wanting them to be there.

It's not about thumbs either.
