I'll never forget that ending, it was the most fucked up one of the bunch.

A DS game called "Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors" a Visual Novel puzzle adventure game, you HAVE to play it, shit's so awesome and cray, use DeSmuME emulator if you don't have a DS.
User avatar #118 - kazene (21 hours ago) [-]
I have a 3DS but I have never come across this game before. If its as good as you say though, I might get an emulator just to play it or I might watch some game play of it. You mentioned it was one of the crazier endings. How many are there?
#119 - zamka (21 hours ago) [-]
There are 6 endings, one of which is the true ending that you get last, and actually, the sequel to this game is on the 3DS, it's called "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward", It's available on the Nintendo E-Shop, I honestly thought that it could never top the first game, but oh boy was I wrong.
User avatar #120 - kazene (21 hours ago) [-]
See, now I think I've seen that one around GameWare when I stop by. Whats the gameplay like?
User avatar #121 - zamka (20 hours ago) [-]
It's a Visual Novel basically, but with puzzles , the most important thing in these game is the story, so it's gameplay is pretty basic, but the puzzles are fun and requires thinking. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward [No Commentary] - Part 1: The Elevator
User avatar #122 - kazene (20 hours ago) [-]
Perfect, thanks for the info man. I'll definitely be looking into this.
User avatar #127 - zamka (20 hours ago) [-]
No problem, just be prepared for a 35+ hours of playing depends on how good you are at the puzzles, and yes it's worth it .

Well, oh shit then lol. I must prepare myself for such hours
User avatar #129 - iridium (11 hours ago) [-]
The first game (999, the one I posted from) is shorter than the second one as there's less you have to do. It's a flawed game, as its ending is kind of ridiculous and it forces you to repeat puzzles to get all the ends. There technically are 6 endings but there really are only 5 as one of them ends in a "to be continued", which you can only proceed through if you've done one of the particular paths.

Do the bad ends first; the game divides you into groups and you don't get everyone's character or story unless you go through them.

Virtue's Last Reward, the sequel, is IMO significantly better as a story though.

but.. but it has "sports" in the name. Surely you jest?
User avatar #35083 - iridium (12 hours ago) [-]
Electric Eels have the word Eel in their name even though they aren't actually eels, they're knifefish and are categorized as such.

Point being: calling something a sport by putting sport in the name doesn't make it a sport. They're "eSports" because they're run and presented like sports, but they aren't actually sports, they're competitive games.

I was going to ask if your name was a spin off of eridium from Borderlands, then I read your comments and now I'm kinda disappointed. Also, I live in San Jose too.
User avatar #12 to #11 - iridium (01/21/2014) [-]
Haven't played that game in forever, still have the first one in my collection. But nope. And I get all sorts of other ideas, like someone mentioned a Death Metal song. I was just into chemistry when I was little and the name sort of stuck.

Also, cool. What part of SJ?

what is iridium used for
tell me please
User avatar #5 to #4 - iridium (11/05/2013) [-]
Well, it's a verrrrry rare earth metal. In fact so rare, that most of it is impossibly deep underground (hypothesized to have sunk underneath the surface when the earth was still covered in molten material), although it is more abundant in meteorites. Because of its density, corrosion resistance, high durability from wear and high heat capacity it can be used for a good number of things en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridium#Applications here's some examples . However, due to its rarity (it's 40 times rarer than gold), it's often either used in extremely small amounts with compounds or its used with very expensive machines. A very small amount of iridium (along with osmium) is used for compass bearings. There are also iridium crucibles which work extremely well in high heat.

i thought gold wasnt supposed to be rare, just very useful?
User avatar #7 to #6 - iridium (11/05/2013) [-]
Gold's not really that useful for all that many scientific things actually, partly because it's naturally brittle. It's just really ****** shiny and glistens. That said, it really isn't bad either. Seriously, you can eat gold leaf and it's pretty non toxic, though the only reason why I think anyone would do that would be to say "look at me I got so much expendible income I can afford to **** gold!"
User avatar #9 to #7 - adplum (11/05/2013) [-]
yeah, i know about that. They put it on really expensive ice cream at restaurants near my house, and isnt gold supposed to be worth a lot because of how malleable and unaffected by chemicals it is?
User avatar #8 to #7 - iridium (11/05/2013) [-]
That said, it is highly conductive and has some medical uses as well. And it can be stretched thin and it deflects ice and radition well, so it can be used for that. The vast majority of gold sales however is for jewelry.
User avatar #10 to #8 - adplum (11/05/2013) [-]
oh, yeah i can see that.
well thanks for the info, been trying to figure that out for a while

Usually I just delete comments because I change my mind about wanting them to be there.

It's not about thumbs either.
