Right to life shouldn't be earned. Welfare is different to free healthcare, just because you are entitled to life saving surgery does not mean you are entitled to anything so if you would like a home for example (as most people do) you would still have to work. The problem with your argument is that you link free healthcare to other things from socialism. Free healthcare doesn't mean welfare for anyone or guaranteed comfort, it just ensures people get to live if they are injured or ill. As I keep saying if anything remotely socialist was bad then free schooling wouldn't be beneficial. People can't work if they are dead or bedridden ect. Capitalism isn't always the best, look at the new most powerful country in the world, China is still a Communist government which is very close to socialism.

Also it isn't a delusional idea because many other countries have it and are doing just as well as the U.S. (generally having a lower gdp only due to having a smaller population).

Irrelevant, say he didn't save enough for it but due to being sick could not work to get the rest of the money. By your logic schooling should be private only as well, if people want their families to be well off then they should start saving in case they have children.

Everyone is in a recession, UK is billions in debt and we still have free healthcare it works by being tax sustained, so everyone would pay extra tax for it but health insurance would no longer be a necessity, the tax would likely be less so everyone would save money. Private healthcare is better and you can work so that you can afford to use that as a luxury, you can work to be able to drive, to have a better house, to be able to go wherever you want, to have nice clothes, to have so much money you don't even need to work any more. You can still achieve greatness and motivation for it with free health care, it just means that people who are sick with no money don't have to die or be in pain, there is nothing else to it.

Go and thumb me down but your healthcare system isn't a sign of social advancement, it's cruel and backward by the standards of any other country that can afford social healthcare.

Also picture this, what if someone did make something of themselves but got made redundant, then fell ill and couldn't get another job due to poor health, suddenly they deteriorate drastically and need an operation to live. Which of course they can't afford due to being unable to work. The U.S. system would condemn this person to a shortened life of agony and despair. Thing is you could have capitalism, 'be able to reach anything if you put the effort in' and have free health care. You already have free schooling, there is no difference, both are services provided for the people via the state, via tax income.
