Proven wrong by two different people below, but you won't change your mind. This is a stupidity to trump all others: confirmation bias. You're a bigot and want to look for an excuse.

Muslims are the number one casualty to terrorists
Muslim scholars all over the globe condemn the actions of terrorists and call people to put a stop to it
Just because you dont see something on CNN or Fox, doesnt mean it doesnt exist

If the Prophet had been alive today, he would have been the leader of ISIS.
Muhammad was a warmonger and barbaric fighter who killed pagans and anyone who he saw as a heretic.
" Muhammad delivered Quranic verses permitting Muslims to fight the Meccans (see sura Al-Hajj, Quran 22:39–40).[114] These attacks allowed the migrants to acquire wealth, power and prestige while working towards the ultimate goal of conquering Mecca.[115][116]"

"He was in a lot of wars, so he'd agree with ISIS" is a massive leap to make.
User avatar #73 - didactus (17 hours ago) [-]
I am not making a leap, he killed in the name of Allah because Allah spoke to him (according to him) that he should kill infidels.
ISIS is doing the same.
They have a Caliph who they say can speak on behalf of Allah.
User avatar #76 - anonymoose (17 hours ago) [-]
"This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them.
Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them."
- Muhammad

Doesn't sound like something ISIS would agree with.
User avatar #77 - didactus (17 hours ago) [-]
I just cited sources that say he killed infidels I never mentioned christians.
You miss my point.
Islam claims to be the final revelation, so they see christianity as the revelation that came before and not totally wrong that is why he considered them somewhat friendly.
But the pagans of mecca, he wished to exterminate..
User avatar #78 - anonymoose (17 hours ago) [-]
How can you say that someone, who openly loved Christians, would be head of ISIS? One of ISIS's missions is to completely eradicate Christianity.
User avatar #81 - didactus (17 hours ago) [-]
"A dhimmī (Arabic: ذمي‎ ḏimmī, IPA: [ˈðɪmmiː], collectively أهل الذمة ahl al-ḏimmah/dhimmah "the people of the dhimma") is a historical[1] term referring to non-Muslim citizens of an Islamic state.[1] The word literally means "protected person."[citation needed] According to scholars, dhimmis had their rights fully protected in their communities, but as citizens in the Islamic state, had certain restrictions,[2] and it was obligatory on them to pay the jizya tax.[3] "
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhimmi
He didn't love them, he wanted to extort them for money.
User avatar #80 - didactus (17 hours ago) [-]
You gave no source.
That wasn't open love, it was a statement of protection.
And it is known that islamic societies have given citizenship and protection to other religious minorities in exchange for ridiculous taxes, and if you didn't pay them, you paid a new tax called "the head tax" They cut your fucking head off.
Again, I didn't say christians. I SAID INFIDELS.
Stop using a red herring.
User avatar #82 - anonymoose (17 hours ago) [-]
By saying he'd be in ISIS, you're saying he'd be in an anti-christian terrorist group which implies, by proxy, he'd be anti-christian. That's not a red herring, it's simply using common knowledge on what he said.
User avatar #83 - didactus (17 hours ago) [-]
Again, no source on that quote. And with what I showed you about the Dhimmi it shows islam thinks less of non muslims, even christians.
User avatar #84 - anonymoose (16 hours ago) [-]
He taxed Christians in Muslim countries, that doesn't mean he wants to join a fucking group that has the goal of completely eradicating Christians from the face of the planet. How badly are you clutching at straws?
User avatar #97 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
I'm not clutching at straws, because you ignored half of my point, yes he didn't kill them but that's because he could make money off of them, if they didn't pay extra taxes they would've lost their heads, that's extortion. They were no more than a source of income to feed his warmachine.
User avatar #100 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
Still, even if that was true, even if he hated Christians living in Muslim countries (he didn't), he had no problem with Christians who didn't live in Muslim countries and had a problem with any one of his followers who did, going so far as to call them heretics if they molested Christian monks.

ISIS hate Christians in general, hence why they want to invade America and take over the White House. Hence why they want to take over Rome.

Also, do you know WHY Muhammad attacked Mecca? Because him and his followers were citizens of Mecca who were abused, tortured and cast into exile.
User avatar #103 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
Sources?
It was decreed by muhammad and his descendants that a caliphate was to be created.
This is the same caliphate that ISIS is now trying to create.
"Furthermore, in the lands that would be conquered by Muslims many Christians (Nestorians, Monophysites, Jacobites and Copts) were disaffected from the Christian Orthodoxy which deemed them heretics. Within a decade Muslims conquered Mesopotamia, Byzantine Syria, Byzantine Egypt,[214] large parts of Persia, and established the Rashidun Caliphate."
This sort of would fly against what you are saying.

I misrepresented my question, I know they want world domination and I didn't make that clear, you're right that they want to exterminate Washington. But that is because they see the US as an rival Imperialist power.
User avatar #111 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
It must be a coincidence that their two main targets are the two most influential Christian countries in the world.
User avatar #114 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
Just to nitpick, the US is a secular nation with an influential christian population.
User avatar #115 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
It's formally a secular country, but in practice it's basically a Christian country.
User avatar #117 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
Agreed.
User avatar #98 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
He made money off them because they were living in a Muslim country and not abiding by Muslim law.

Is there any evidence of Muhammad demanding this "head tax"? Dhimmi law changed a lot post-9th century AD.
User avatar #101 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
"He made money off them because they were living in a Muslim country and not abiding by Muslim law. "
So?
That's still oppression.
"When the Jews of Khaybar surrendered to Muhammad after a siege, Muhammad allowed them to remain in Khaybar in return for handing over to the Muslims one half their annual produce" What do you think would have happened if they had not given that up? Be honest.
User avatar #104 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
Are you really trying to claim that living in a country and being exempt from some of its laws is oppression? If anything, it's the opposite.
User avatar #108 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
"Are you really trying to claim that living in a country and being exempt from some of its laws is oppression? If anything, it's the opposite"
So you're in favor of an oppressive theocracy favoring religions? The laws in themselves are oppressive and you're playing it off as if it's ok to have a theocracy.
Theocracy is the worst form of government, combining the worst elements of fascism dictatorship and religion. Also, the succession of muhammad to the establishment of the caliphate is what caused the schism of Sunni and Shia Islam and is why they have such a passionate hatred of eachother. They are taught from birth on both sides that the other side isn't really Islam.
User avatar #109 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
And how is being exempt from this law oppression on the people being exempt?
User avatar #112 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
The law was in itself oppressive, demanding tax in exchange for exemption is oppressive.
Answer my question, do you think Theocracy is good? Because that seems to be what you are implying.
User avatar #119 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
You implied he had an intense hatred by claiming he'd be the head of ISIS
User avatar #121 - didactus (9 hours ago) [-]
Then I want to make it clear, that if I did then I misspoke and I apologize for that. But the idea of the caliphate of ISIS is so strong we can actually tie a possible muhammad prophet as head of ISIS.
User avatar #113 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
I avoided that question because it was an attempt to derail the conversation. We're discussing whether Muhammad hated Christians or not. The state of the governments he erected is absolutely irrelevant.

Please explain how being exempt from laws for a fee is oppressive? If they allowed people to be exempt from laws for free, that would just dissolve the law entirely.
User avatar #116 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
If the law itself is unjust and made so that it in itself is extortive to non-muslims it is bad, plain and simple. The state is not irrelevant because the actions and politics of his government reflect his beliefs.
And I never said he had an intense hatred, I simply pointed out he saw them as lesser beings than muslims.
User avatar #102 - anonymoose (10 hours ago) [-]
Well, the Jews did eventually stop paying and guess what happened . . . they were expelled, not killed.
User avatar #105 - didactus (10 hours ago) [-]
Most likely because they had already paid a hefty amount enough for the muslims to show mercy?

There are Muslim leaders speaking out against the fanaticism and terrorism. Your analogy isn't entirely accurate because Catholics and most Christians have a Church, a hierarchical structure of some sort. There's no Muslim church; hell, they technically don't even have a clergy. The closest you have are simply Muslim scholars who have studied the Qur'an and are recognized as being learned in their religion. So there is no central authority to denounce these people, since there's no Caliph.
