its a fan theory but its gotten relatively well known, it all links in together relatively well that a lot of people think it could be true, either way i found it interesting how many little "easter egg" type things there are linking the films together (monsters inc boo being the old witch in brave, etc...)

actually, fans believe that Boo is the old witch from brave due to the fact there is a carving of him in the wood in the background during that scene. It is theorized that due to the fact she witnessed this whole time travel thing with mike and sulley, she eventually grew up and discovered that secret and eventually went back in time to ancient day Scotland.

It's very dry humor. A lot of people (particularly here in America) don't enjoy it. I love it, and always have. The only jokes I don't laugh at are the ones that make pop culture references that were relevant in their time and location - and that's just because I simply don't get it. Luckily those are far and few, because that wasn't usually a target for their comedy. Which three films did you reference? I'm just curious.
Gotta say, to me the best three are Holy Grail, The Meaning of Life, and Life of Brian.

Well to be fair, the movies involved the entire cast and all the support writers. They had all the great minds behind the show working on every aspect of the film. The shows were, like any other skit show, mostly written by those who personally acted in the scene and a small group of support writers and editors.
To each their own though - I can only imagine by the end of the day there will be someone insulting you over this opinion. But hey, I'm just glad to know there are still Python fans out there. All too often I talk to people who have no clue what I'm talking about, or potheads who say "you have to be high to get it". Personally, I prefer the first group to the second....
