I've got a .22 modeled after the AR platform. Not the same, but it's fun to shoot, and fun to build on.

>Fires rifle rounds
>Is a battle rifle

Learn the merits of different weapons and calibers before speaking

>the one in the picture is chambered in 5.56 an intermediate cartridge, so not a battle rifle
>even the 7.62x51 NATO version (the one that is a battle rifle) does nothing an AR in 7.62x51 NATO can't do

I'd suggest you take your own advice and learn the merits of different weapons and calibers before speaking.

Get a cheap .22 knockoff. They say the stock is bad, and stuff, but they seem like a quality replica.

Look into boat-tail ammo. im not sure but i think it has something to do with this.
#7694 - Elemental (08/19/2014) [-]
Either way, shaping it like the front of the bullet would elongate the round needlessly and may actually poorly affect the muzzle velocity because it would make it more likely for the expanding gas to try and push around the bullet
