'Socialism is Communism'

...What? Since WHEN is Socialism Communism? America's education system teaches little on the subject, I'm aware, but really?

Yeah, officially, Osama was declared dead in 2011. I decided to tell you the truth, that he died long before that, but unsurprisingly, you didnt want to believe that I could be saying something true or logically based.

One thing about the tax policy is that they are overtaxing the rich because the middle and lower classes feel as if they deserve the money more, then raising the minimum they are to pay the poor and middle class for working at their companies, making their product cost more. Which makes the poor and middle class have to pay more, which solves no problems at all.

Giving peace a chance is fine and good, but its stupid to assume that we will be left alone if our greatest defense is the ability to talk. You offer one hand, but arm the other, as wisdom goes.

I said I wanted reagan's policies, because they WERE successful. Clinton's congress agreed with Reagan, but Clinton did not. The Congress prevented the damage Clinton wanted to do in order to rally the democratic policy support necessary to push the Democratic agenda forward. The only reason his presidency was even sort of successful was because his Congress prevented him from passing any of his more radical laws.

I was not aware I was butthurt. Actually, I thought I was giving you logical and reasonable arguments against your position while you happily called me a Shithead. Thats not really the topic of discussion, however, so it really is inconsequential.

All in all, you are a fine example of the ignorance bred through the USA's education system and media control. One who repeats what he hears and does little independent research to see if what he is being told actually applies.

I'm waiting for you to just say I am lying about Osama's death in 06, so I can inform you of my unique position that would grant me such knowledge.
#24 - noghri (09/08/2012) [-]
Where is your information coming from on when Osama died? I actually have been trying to research it and I keep coming up with the date of May 1st/2nd 2011 for the date of death.

Yes, Obama is more socialistic than many American politicians. However, compared to European socialism he is nowhere close to being a true socialist.

The tax on the rich is literally rising a few percent so its not a huge amount of their actual income. The minimum wage has to be raised every few years due to inflation and the rising cost of living. People will not be able to support their housing/food/basic utility needs without that raise let alone buy new products that are being produced.

Yes, offer the olive branch with one hand and keep the other ready. Or speak softly and carry a big stick. Which I happen to agree with. However, we already have a stick bigger than the next 10 countries below us combined. So I think we have that covered without increasing defense spending.

Reagan's trickle down economics conclusively DO NOT WORK. The money gets stuck at the top and saved by the top because their entire goal is to make more money. What you get with trickle down is literally the top management of the company gets ridiculous bonuses/perks/trips/etc while the rest of the company essentially gets nothing extra. The workers do not get paid more and the products do not become cheaper.
User avatar #25 - shikurukato (09/08/2012) [-]
I was talking about the minimum wage increases that occurred AFTER inflation's major happening in the mid 80's.

The tax on the rich does not equal to paying their working class more money or making their product cheaper, what it does is extends teh job market by allowing them to invest more into the business they have, which stimulates the economy by pushing more money through the working class. It does not make products cheaper, no, but it does not encourage the business owners to up the price on their product in order to provide for their workers.

My information, on the other hand, comes straight from a Unit logistical analyst that I had the unique pleasure of bunking with while training with the SOAR/CCT joint training exercises and the tactical debrief of one of the unnamed Operators from the CCT squad that was tied to the SEAL insertion.

So basically your information on Osama's death is coming from a source that cannot be independently confirmed.

You are attempting to defend trickle down economics which have conclusively proven NOT to work.

Cost of living has gone up because the average quality of life has gone up in the US. We could theoretically just have people live in shanty towns like you see in India for example which would reduce the cost of living but as a society we have decided that that idea is something we do not agree with.

So we have no further business. I cannot argue a point on which I can achieve no independent confirmation (though so far all the sources I have found for it point to the mission of May 1st/2nd) and so the business of Osama's death is done. I will not an argue an antiquated notion of economics like the trickle down system which has not and will ever work. And as that has thrust aside the two issues you have brought up I see no further need to continue this conversation.
User avatar #26 - shikurukato (09/08/2012) [-]
I want to take a moment to also ask...why do you think the cost of living and the product market's values increase, if not inflation? Because inflation hasnt been a real issue for years now. This idea that the government just prints more money to make up for their debts is a joke and without any basis.

2. He is dismantling our defense because he downsized our military by 80,000 units by the end of this period with the idea of dropping 240,000 more. Sounds pretty decimating to me.
3. I want someone like Reagan's tax policies instead of cutting taxes and raising minimum wage for the mid and lower class. That just makes things more expensive, which doesnt help the economy at all.
4. Apparently not with any critical thinking.
5. No, he didn't. This was in 2006, I said that very clearly. Osama was dead long before Obama's my black sonistration even became a possibility.
6. He's the Primary Executive of america, sure.
#22 - icbricksquad (09/08/2012) [-]
okay, yes he wants to redistribute wealth, but it's not a communist regime. there isn't anything wrong with asking wealthy americans to pay a little more or the same tax rate as the middle class. the type of healthcare that he wants isn't rubbish. it allows good things, like preventive care, it won't let insurance companies not let you get insurance due to your health, and it allows for people to stay on their parents medical plans longer. socialism is communism, where everyone is the same and miserable. obama does believe in capitalism and free trade, albeit with some more regulations on wall street, so they don't screw up like they did 4 years ago.
even with our mlitary being downsized, it is still one of the largest and best trained. why do you want such a big military? to fight in more wars? give peace a chance. and alright, i will agree with you, reagan did have a relatively successful presidency, as did bill clinton. why not have those policies? clearly they worked. so in a way, i agree with you. finally, i am pretty sure that bin laden died in 2011, because from what i understand you are saying that he was dead before obama was president.
by the way, i am really tired and i do hope that you can in time become less butthurt over everything the government does. goodbye, this has been a nice discussion. have a nice life.
here's a gif of a badass bird for you to enjoy. bye!

I didn't care for Bush's tax policies, same as I dont care for Obama's.

You should closely read what I wrote before so you can realize what I said more than what you have skimmed.

My logic never was anything relating to 'Hitler didnt kill those jews because he didnt pull the trigger'. It was that Obama lied when he said he had something to do with the operation.

Bush had little to do with it as well, though he did sanction the power to the Board of Generals. That is it. Thats the extent of his involvement, which means he really didnt do much either.

okay, yes he wants to redistribute wealth, but it's not a communist regime. there isn't anything wrong with asking wealthy americans to pay a little more or the same tax rate as the middle class. the type of healthcare that he wants isn't rubbish. it allows good things, like preventive care, it won't let insurance companies not let you get insurance due to your health, and it allows for people to stay on their parents medical plans longer. socialism is communism, where everyone is the same and miserable. obama does believe in capitalism and free trade, albeit with some more regulations on wall street, so they don't screw up like they did 4 years ago.
even with our mlitary being downsized, it is still one of the largest and best trained. why do you want such a big military? to fight in more wars? give peace a chance. and alright, i will agree with you, reagan did have a relatively successful presidency, as did bill clinton. why not have those policies? clearly they worked. so in a way, i agree with you. finally, i am pretty sure that bin laden died in 2011, because from what i understand you are saying that he was dead before obama was president.

Yeah, what does that say? Congratulations on your attempt at completely ignoring a post that would weaken your position, but it really doesn't do well if its 500 pixels away.

i never said, "Yeah, Obama gave the command. In 2006. I didnt know he had been in office for 6 years."
that was you.
i ignored it because your sarcasm really needs some work.
User avatar #15 - shikurukato (09/08/2012) [-]
Do you even read what i type, or do you just pick and choose words?

No wonder you believe I'm saying Bush is amazing and I'm a hyper republican.

Shows me for trying to inform someone of the misinformation of our glorious Government.
User avatar #18 - icbricksquad (09/08/2012) [-]
i just quoted you, showing that i do, indeed read what you write.
so if you dislike obama (something that i am inferring, so don't flip shit on me for this) and you don't like being associated with die hard republicans, do you care to share your political opinions?
User avatar #19 - shikurukato (09/08/2012) [-]
I'm mostly a libertarian, independent of a party. I dont care for Obama's socialist policies nor his dismantling of our Defense.

The Commander in Chief has not been a Commander in a long long time.
User avatar #20 - icbricksquad (09/08/2012) [-]
1. obama isn't a socialist.
2. he isn't dismantling our defense jsut because he is ending two very long, very expensive wars.
3. you don't like bush's tax policies or obama's. what do you want. i can't guess.
4. yes, i am reading what you are writing.
5. obama did have something to do with the operation. as commander in chief, it was necessary for him to fully carry out the mission, and he, along with others, was in the situation room at the time.
6. i recognize that the commander in chief isn't the direct military commander, but he is the leader of america.
User avatar #21 - shikurukato (09/08/2012) [-]
....1. He is a socialist. Redistribution of Wealth, Federal Healthcare, powerful central executive government. That sounds like Socialism to me.
#22 - icbricksquad (09/08/2012) [-]
okay, yes he wants to redistribute wealth, but it's not a communist regime. there isn't anything wrong with asking wealthy americans to pay a little more or the same tax rate as the middle class. the type of healthcare that he wants isn't rubbish. it allows good things, like preventive care, it won't let insurance companies not let you get insurance due to your health, and it allows for people to stay on their parents medical plans longer. socialism is communism, where everyone is the same and miserable. obama does believe in capitalism and free trade, albeit with some more regulations on wall street, so they don't screw up like they did 4 years ago.
even with our mlitary being downsized, it is still one of the largest and best trained. why do you want such a big military? to fight in more wars? give peace a chance. and alright, i will agree with you, reagan did have a relatively successful presidency, as did bill clinton. why not have those policies? clearly they worked. so in a way, i agree with you. finally, i am pretty sure that bin laden died in 2011, because from what i understand you are saying that he was dead before obama was president.
by the way, i am really tired and i do hope that you can in time become less butthurt over everything the government does. goodbye, this has been a nice discussion. have a nice life.
here's a gif of a badass bird for you to enjoy. bye!

User avatar #17 - shikurukato (09/08/2012) [-]
I retyped that line and said at the end 'Remember when I (notice the 'I', as in this user) made that post'

There is no point in trying to win an argument by ignoring everything said.

Yea but how much are those cars worth? It's useless to make a car that's very fuel efficient, but it costs 60k or 80k dollars.

well the jag might be expenisive, but not the vw. i couldn't find the price for a polo bluemotion, but a new jetta or golf can give you 42 mpg without making you shamefully drive in a small plastic impractical death trap. and they cost around $16,000.
