Extreme stress can delay or shorten the time between the menses. I had a friend who didn't have a period for 6 months. Then, suddenly, comes a 3-week long period, where she just about had to go to the hospital for treatment.

Must i say this again? i can't believe how ignorant people are...

"not all women have an exact 28 day cycle... that's why there are situations where women go out and then their period suddenly comes and they panic like hell on where they can find a napkin or tampon. having a period is a bitch not only do you PMS but it's a nasty surprise when you don't know when your "day" is."

and you're a girl! you should know that....

i can't live on this planet anymore...

So you masturbate on the day you could be starting on?
And if you have birth control you do have a specific day.
So no, it's not ignorance.
It's using you're brain.

Actually being on birth control doesn't guarantee and exact starting day. I have several female friends who take birth control. Some start the same time every months and others it is never the same.

That's unfortunate.
All I'm saying is that you don't just start you're period out of the blue I mean, you have signs as to when you are going to start soon. Some people get cramps before, etc.

For most women yes, but there are the few that do not have signs. I have only known two girls in my life where that happened. They hated it, because they would never know til it started. I believe that it was the signs where so small and weak that they didn't know til it happened then like normal the cramps and what not would increase.

I was just speaking generally but yes, there are always exceptions :)
#214 - anon (10/06/2011) [-]
so your assuming that every girl is on birth control???

bitch please
not every girl is a dumb whore like you.
some prefer to be called a prude than a dumb slut that thinks every girl even the one's in memes are on birth control

Kind of rude to assume that all girls on birth control are whores. Some take it to help regulate their periods. My mother had to when she was young due to having two periods every month. Doctors put her on birth control to regulate it. My ex had to be put on birth control to give her a regular period. she who only spot or get nothing for months. Birth control gave her a regular period. Doctors often give girls and women birth control to he regulate and irregular menstrual cycle.

sorry i just got carried away as to how ignorant she is... i started using unnecessary names... i still can't believe that a GIRL who has her own period would think every girl has a specific day and that using birth control as an excuse would make everything clearer...

If you read what else I had said you would realize I'm not actually ignorant I was simply making a joke.
#249 - anon (10/06/2011) [-]
there are somethings that are a bit sensitive to be joked about. before making one you should make sure you're not offending anyone and not making you'reself look like a sarcastic bastard.

here's a compliment instead

Well considering I went through chemo and have irregular periods from it I didn't find it offensive but I totally understand xD
#237 - EvilFluffyBunny (10/06/2011) [-]
I will agree with you there, and I can understand there being frustration. No harm done. Happy bunny for you.
#256 - anon (10/06/2011) [-]

But thank you for calling me a dumb whore; it shows true class that you know me so well through a computer screen :)
#217 - anon (10/06/2011) [-]

Nope, you mean you're.
"It's using your brain."
Please use you're brain and quit bitching about periods on the internet.

That awkward moment when you use "you're" and "your" in the wrong tense due to a troll.
I put it right both times (as I'm sure you did) and it changed.
