I never really noticed that and to be honest I don't know what type of character Eren is so I'll see how it plays out.

Just had a quick look through Myanimelist.net and unfortunately for you Josh Grelle got the part of Armin not any of Al's voice actors, also Eren's voice actor hasn't been announced yet and to be honest I wouldn't mind Bryce Papenbrook voicing Eren.

I just think that his voice is too juvenile. It worked for Kirito because SAO was lighthearted at times, but Eren is just too serious and kind of intimidating imo. Still going to watch it of course.

I played susaphone and tuba, and marching with them was fun, especially when we did horn movements, and being low brass section leader it did piss me off when flutes whined about holding their instruments

Basically all we had were players, section leaders, and then the drum major(s). We were allowed to discipline how we wanted. We were allowed to not participate in the drill blocks and just watch our sections. I LOVED our drill competitions. It was basically Simon says but with drill commands. It was awesome being the last one standing. I loved marching band.

We had an instructor who used to tell us to run the track until HE pukes. So yeah, we ran a fuckton.

We had those too. Unfortunately I had to judge and couldn't be in it. But that sounds awesome. We had players, section leaders, brass captain, woodwind captain, marching captain, drum majors, and then some college students or above were staff members that came by for band camp.

That sucks, the bass clarinet is usually always heard even if its played quietly. It vibrates everything for gods sake. I was the section leader for 2 years for the Bb's (and the saxes). If they ever complained about holding a 2 pound clarinet I made them do push ups. The only thing I complained about is the 1/4 indent in my thumb after holding the clarinet for so long.

We also had brand new contras, we only used the sousaphones for football games and sillyness. And a thing we called "Tuba Cheer". Its basically trombone suicides but with sousaphones.

Holy shit I love you. I never sat down during marching season, ever. It pisses me off when people bitch and complain about it 24/7, cause they knew damn well what they were getting into. I got alto sax section leader and marching captain this past year, hot damn was it nice. I didn't have to do drill at band camp whatsoever. I just watched over everyone and helped out when I needed to like the drum majors. Feels so so so good man

Bass clarinet is very picky with the embouchure. If you are too hard it sounds like its having a stroke, or it sounds like a didgeridoo.

It is my all time favorite instrument. I wish I had the 15 grand to drop on a basic one. Its a hard instrument to march (reed wise) too. Nothing compared to tubas and mellos obviously. I loved it when the pack of flutes would complain about standing at attention for long periods of time. The brass would have a field day on that if they complained...
User avatar #73 - hlgrindstaff (03/18/2014) [-]
He tries so hard to play as loud as possible to make sure everyone can hear him and it's so bad. He thinks that after MPA (which is wednesday) he's gonna switch over to tenor sax which is what I play in that particular class, my main is alto sax but I'm the only tenor in there and I fucking love it but he has another fucking thing coming.

I think that flutes can complain more than Bb clarinets do. Flutes at least have to keep their arm at a parallel and clarinets are like light as air. We have contra tubas instead of sousaphones, which I personally prefer, but I'm sure that shit is hardcore.

I didn't play percussion either. Its an old style of harness, just really hard to march with. Its meant for older marching styles were percussion was literally there for the people that couldn't see the drum major. Not like now where percussion is like the heart of all marching bands. All of our percussionists us the over shoulder carbon fibre harness mounts. Fuckin' expensive. I marched B flat and Bass Clarinets.

I think that's what we do too. Also I love bass clarinet. I sit beside them in concert band. One of them is a massive retard though. He thinks he can play every instrument and his embouchure is so hard that his tone shakes. It's awful.
