"Horizon - Do You See What I See?"
Interesting documentary, IMHO.

As far as I know, there was a study done regarding this and I saw a documentary detailing some parts of the study.
The study was made by taking people from different nationalities that had different ways of referring to colors and the results that were shown in the documentary were that how you refer to colors changes how you see them. There is a tribe in Africa that uses words that have more to do with descriptions of shade than actual color (as in 'light', 'dark' and such, can't remember more of them) and they can easily see differences between colors that we can barely register and vice versa.
Lemme see if I can't find that documentary.

That's not what I'm saying. God, I don't even know how to word this without sounding a like a total asshat. Uhh....
Take me and my best friend. We're of similar intelligence but with completely different fields of interest. We sometimes get ideas that just don't parse for the other. We oeften need to thoroughly explain ideas that we have to each other because the other just simply doesn't even get the direction the idea is heading. That's what I'm saying. Not that "hurr, we are of mighty intellect and are besterest."

I really appreciate the effort of actively trying to not sound like an asshat.
For the record I feel like the different color thing probably wouldn't work out with all the different color combinations that would have to line up perfectly for no one to notice. At the very least I thing there would have to be certain colors that are swapped rather than all being random.

A lot of people have certainly had this thought, but i've been told countless times that it doesn't make sense and that they've never thought about it.
User avatar #36 - darkbladept (6 hours ago) [-]
I know right, they're all special snowflakes for having that tought.
User avatar #34 - darmenias (6 hours ago) [-]
Eh. No. You cannot generalize like that. There's plenty of people whose brain just doesn't function in such a way that this thought comes up.
#37 - hillbillypowpow (6 hours ago) [-]
Yes I'm sorry. I forgot we're all just special with different brains than all the normies and that we function on a higher level

That's not the point I was trying to make; the point is that they are both doctors because they have doctorates. One doesn't suddenly lack their title when they can't perform a certain specialization. That would be like saying a Basketball player isn't a Sportsman because they suck at Soccer.

its interesting to say the least of how superman goes from killing the joker, taking over the whole world, and batman resorting to calling on a parallel universe to save his own.
