Yes. I heard graphically it's stunning, but the story was wanting. It apparently was paced too fast and nobody got enough screen time.

Like 80% of cinema today. I'm not surprised, besides it's hard to flush out videogame stories because of the difference in length of media.

Might as well go see it. A movie ticket doesn't cost much. Might at least enjoy the action scenes for that money if nothing else.
