From what I hear Europe gets much more vacation days, benefits and lesser hours, in America we get shit jack for vacation, fewer benefits and lots of hours, it's total shit. Especially in entry level jobs. Pay is shit too. But everything is getting more and more expensive. Cost of living, education and healthcare. That's pretty much why we never stop working.

I have been living in Italy for the 1 1/2 years. Trust me. America is still better than the majority of Europe.

I lived in Germany for 6 years and I disagree, the poor Euro countries probably suck tho so I agree with you there. Don't think America is like in the movies or TV, shit can really suck here too, specially lately.

At least in the States you have a say in the local government and elections. The federal govornment at least pretends to listen to the people. So many governments in Europe just don't give a flying fuck about their people.

America has a pretty fucked political system as well, the current election for example, the media and democrats have been manipulating the fuck out of the system. In the end the electoral college is who decides shit anyway.

And dude back at ya. I take it you never lived in California, Louisiana, or other shitsvilles. Washington is nice and all, but a lot of things come down to if you can afford it. And shit is HELLA expensive. Wages are stagnant but the cost of living is fucking inflating like crazy.

When I was a kid a bag of beef jerky costs like 3 bucks, 4 tops. Now the shit is like 10 dollars. Fucking hell. And frankly I wish that was the least of it. Shits gotten way worse every since 9/11 and the financial crises. This is one of the worst times to be starting out in America. Shit generation to have been born in.

And yeah, world economy is kinda shit as well. Thank globalism. We're all fucked. Some more than others. Some of the best places are Europe though. Forgot which ones, Sweden used to be one but eh... lately.

Worse time to start....

Yeah but what about The Great Depression? That was pretty freaking bad, and I am sure it was worse then our situation today.

I really enjoyed Germany when I visited last year. But like I said, majority of Europe is not Germany. I lived near Seattle Washington until I was 18. After being in Europe for over a year there is nothing that I see over here that makes me think Europe is better.
