Speaking of the NL Central, the Brewers will have to watch out for the Pirates as well. As long as the Cardinals lose, I don't really care who wins the division

im concerned about seattle the most. They look like a team that wont lose any games. Their offense has improved dramatically. Their defense is the best in the league. They will probably go at least 14-2 this season.
User avatar #32786 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]
they also just got fined for over practicing, they'll come back down, but I agree that they'll still be beasts.

over practicing? Like practicing outside of practice?
User avatar #32788 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]
nope, just practicing longer than scheduled, too much contact, and too many padded practices. The team got fined $300k
User avatar #32791 - hawaiianhappysauce (08/31/2014) [-]
I think the NFL makes these rule changes for 3 reasons: 1. To weaken seattle. 2. To give peyton a superbowl. 3. fantasy football, more points = more fun (idiotic idea)
User avatar #32793 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]
I also really hate how Goodell is pushing so hard for a team in London. It just won't work until the Super Sonic Jet comes back. The only reason he wants one there is for money, which even then he's fooling himself as England prefers Soccer and Cricket to NFL.
User avatar #32789 - hawaiianhappysauce (08/31/2014) [-]
i see that as the nfl's way to try to prevent seattle from winning. Lets face it. The NFL only cares about the product of football, and since Seattle has a tendency to make people angry, they are trying to eliminate them from the superbowl.
User avatar #32790 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]
yeah, they were practicing about as much as teams would BEFORE the new CBA.

idk, again, we looked fantastic again during the preseason, our pass defense played better (especially our 2nd team), run defense does need work, and Pepper and Mathews possibly can compensate. BITCH DON'T BASH MY PACKERS! WE WILL ALWAYS WIN!
User avatar #32783 - hawaiianhappysauce (08/31/2014) [-]
I'm picking seattle to win game 1... 43 - 14. That's my pick. A SLAUGHTER. This kind of loss will hurt the spirit of greenbay players and it will hurt their confidence in some of these big games.

problem is that you played oakland... who was lead by Schaub. you played lousy defenses all preseason. the patriots scored 30 on carolina in week 3, the "dress rehearsal" of the preseason. They also gave up 1 touchdown near the end. what did oakland do? Score 21 and have their poor defense allow over 30.

I'm going to go through the schedule of Greenbay and look at what might be in store for you based on the speculations.
1. @ Seattle - almost a guarantee loss
2. vs. Jets - You should win this
3. @ Lions - you might lose this because they made improvements in offense and might win in a shootout.
4. @ bears - you better win this because it's cutler and he sucks, but he has a ton of weapons offensively and the GB defense might make it another shootout.
5. vs. vikings - should win, just pray AP doesn't have a crazy game against a poor running defense
6. @ dolphins - should win because Tanehill has not impressed me at all
7. vs. Panthers - you should win even though their defense is elite, they have lost their best offensive weapons.
8. @ saints - loss. The saints are very good at home, brees is elite, the defense is elite, the offensive weapons are good. This won't be a win
9. vs. Bears - win via cutler choke
10. Vs. Eagles - I'm really up in the air on this one. Eagles have a high tempo offense that might tire that GB defense. Foles doesn't make a ton of mistakes and their running game is elite. But their defense might wet the bed. I will give it to greenbay with the experienced players.
11. @ vikings - win
12. vs. Patriots - They will lose especially if the patriots defense is healthy / on par with seattle (revis, browner, mayo, wilfork, dennard, mccorty). And with a tight end like gronk on the team (hopefully) there will be some big mismatches for the defense.
User avatar #32771 - hawaiianhappysauce (08/31/2014) [-]
Here is why I think green bay might be in trouble, and it's not rodgers fault. The defense is still going to need help. opening day is going to be tough to watch for you because Seattle will beat you big time. Seattle looks like a powerhouse team right now.

but the big problem is the defense. Greenbay has a piss poor defense against the run. I was lenient on the vikings losing twice, when they have the best RB in the league.
User avatar #32778 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]
actually we're trying to repair that by running more base defense plays instead of 2-4-5 nickels. mainly to combat the run.

I'm picking seattle to win game 1... 43 - 14. That's my pick. A SLAUGHTER. This kind of loss will hurt the spirit of greenbay players and it will hurt their confidence in some of these big games.
User avatar #32782 - hawaiianhappysauce (08/31/2014) [-]
problem is that you played oakland... who was lead by Schaub. you played lousy defenses all preseason. the patriots scored 30 on carolina in week 3, the "dress rehearsal" of the preseason. They also gave up 1 touchdown near the end. what did oakland do? Score 21 and have their poor defense allow over 30.

im concerned about seattle the most. They look like a team that wont lose any games. Their offense has improved dramatically. Their defense is the best in the league. They will probably go at least 14-2 this season.
User avatar #32786 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]

User avatar #32788 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]

User avatar #32772 - saltyfries (08/31/2014) [-]
that's true, but I think the Fail Mary is a big motivator this year for the Packers to come back. I'm not confident either about this game, but maybe, JUST maybe, we'll get to Russel with Peppers or Matthews.

bullshit
we've looked amazing this preseason (granted it don't mean much), but A-rod has looked better than ever, our defense was looking good, and we haven't lost too many starters save for Raji. we look damn good this year.
User avatar #32766 - hawaiianhappysauce (08/31/2014) [-]
He is the least clutch. Not the least talented. He has only a couple games where he is trailing by more than 2 scores and comes back to win.

that's partially because we hardly get behind under A-rod, we make sure of that.

You realize you'd essentially restrict the right of enfranchisement and representative decision of the country to less than 15% According to Census Statistics which account for both male and female www.marketingcharts.com/traditional/so-how-many-millennials-are-there-in-the-us-anyway-30401/ ? By instilling such a criteria, you'd end up wtih one of three effects

1. Best Case Scenario: The Draft is "officially" tossed and written out of legislation.
2. Realistic Scenario: Motions are given to extend the military even further by lowering the standard of combat training and allowing women to enter the military and guarantee they can do so without strain.
3. Worst Case Scenario: The draft is extended age-wise and the possibility of a military state becomes even more plausible.

... Also, considering most politicians are 40+, I don't think anyone of them would even come to write an Amendment killer doomed to fail from the start.
