but Lions are better than ever, remember that, this is their best chance at Lambeau, if they don't win this year, Idk when, but it'll be a while, if they win at Lambeau though, you can BET the Lions are Super Bowl contenders, yes I'm saying it. In order for the Lions to go to the Super Bowl, they need to beat Green Bay at Green Bay.

Wrong. They are not superbowl contenders because they got manhandled by Arizona.

14-6, manhandled, if it were 41-6 I'd agree, but they didn't get manhandled, it was a close game, Cardinals have a rock solid D, and the Cardinals were smart in passing, deep no less, despite using Drew Stanton, if it were Carson Palmer, then maybe he would've exposed the Lions to 41-6.

The point is that Detroit couldn't get a TD on them, when every other team the Cardinals played did. Even the Raiders scored a TD on the Cardinals.

WOAHWOAHWOAHWOAH! Packers vs Vikings is a trap game, Packers are 2-3 on the road so far, and we barely won 1 against Miami, Vikings are improving, they're better than whatever we predicted them at cuz they're 4-6, that's good even without AP. Also, even though it's outdoors like Lambeau at TCF Bank Stadium, the field is different, so that will effect on how the Packers will play. I can see the Packers winning, but not by much, 28-24.
#36695 - zanntaggerung (11/20/2014) [-]
2 of the wins were close scrapes over the Bucaneers and Redskins, not even average teams. The other two were against the Rams when we had Cassel, Peterson, and Rudolph, and a weak Falcons defense when it was still warm as Teddy is used to. As much as I want my team to win, gotta be realistic about this sorry offense, especially after watching an entire game of check-downs and dump offs last week.
User avatar #36678 - hawaiianhappysauce (11/20/2014) [-]
Are you serious? This team couldn't beat the bears in Chicago. THE BEARS NEVER WIN AT HOME. The Vikings have a rookie QB who will get sacked, picked off, and pressured. Rodgers will throw a couple deep passes that will knock the wind out of the Vikings. 42-10 is not hard to imagine.

Detroit after NE has Chicago twice, Minnesota, and Tampa Bay, they're at least going to be 12-4 or 11-5 depending on Week 17 at Lambeau, which imo they have their best opportunity ever to end 21 years of losing at Lambeau Field.

Vikings - Easy win
Patriots - 50/50 chance here, but home field should help them get the win.
Falcons - Easy Win
Bills - Easy Win
Bucs - A better question would be if TB loses by more than 40 or less than 40. Win
Lions- Automatic win because Lions have not won in Lambeau since forever.

It's still undefeated. Miss State and Alabama barely beat Arkansas, TCU barely beat Kansas, Oregon lost to a 3TD underdog at home, and almost laid an egg vs Wazzou. What matters is winning.
User avatar #36639 - dangler (11/20/2014) [-]
Having a bad game is one thing, but having five very close games against mediocre teams is indicative of something. People keep harping about "wins and losses" without looking at much else. The committee has decided what they have by looking at the w/ls, the stats, SoS, and (believe it or not, this can indicate how good a team is, I know it's difficult to understand, but it's true) actually watching the teams play. Oregon played a bad game against Zona, and TCU a bad game against the Jayhawks. For the most part, the rest of the season they have looked very strong. Bama has one very close loss against number 8 Ole Miss in Oxford (who has two equally close losses vs. LSU in Death Valley and a very unlucky break get it? against Auburn). And don't talk shit about Arkansas. Arkansas is the exact opposite of Florida State. Instead of barely winning against bad teams, they barely lose against good teams. So many FSU fans say sarcastically that FSU is third because "they don't have a quality loss", but dammit if they don't have a quality win either (not just in opponent strength, but their quality of play each week). People getting asshurt over FSU not being #1 should go talk to fucking Marshall.

My playoff picture right now is
1. Arz 13-3 .......... 1. Chiefs 12-4
2. GB 12-4 ............ 2. Patriots 12-4
3. Cowboys 11-5...... 3. Bengals 12-3-1
4. Saints 7-9 ...........4. Colts 11-5
5. Seattle 10-6...........5. Denver 11-5
6. Detroit 10-6......... 6. Miami 11-5

WC round
Detroit beats dallas; seahawks lose to saints
Denver beats colts; Miami beats bengals

Div Round
Detroit loses to ARZ; Saints lose to GB
Miami loses to KC; Denver loses to Pats

AFC/ NFCCG

Arizona loses to GB
KC beats Patriots

Superbowl KC beats GB
I'm telling you, Green Bay's offense is unstoppable in the NFC, but KC has the best pass defense AND they have the best Running game with Davis and Charles, something GB is horrible against. I feel that KC will do what the 49ers have done in the past, run the ball effectively to beat GB, Patriots, and Miami. The KC chiefs look very similar to the Seahawks last year. Best pass defense, strong running game, game manager QB, physical players.

Damn, thats cool. I feel bad for Ben, he is a pretty damn good QB but is constantly overshadowed in the media by Manning the good one , Brady, Favre/Rodgers, etc.

I'm not saying that those guys get undeserved attention, they're some of the best out there. I would just like to see Ben not have to throw 6 TDs in a game just to get a decent length segment on a sports talk show, ESPN, etc.

It's actually common if they are on a good team. The best QBs in the NFL, Rodgers and Brady, lost to the Rookie Russell Wilson. The fact that the 1 loss is probably Tim Tebow is what makes it funny.

sorry saltyfries but I have to take Brady in December game over the packers, you just can't beat him, he is hitting his stride and his chemistry with Edelman compare to Nelson and Rodgers are exactly alike. Sadly though Brady is the better QB and Bellicheck is coaching against a two year old, pats win.
User avatar #36602 - saltyfries (11/19/2014) [-]
Bill only coaches against 2 year olds, he's the only one left of his kind (aside from his cheating, but that's another thread and story)

me neither, unless we beat the Pats but that's a longshot. Also, I also think this is the Lions best shot at beating us in Lambeau since our 4-12 season, they're good

User avatar #36570 - hawaiianhappysauce (11/18/2014) [-]
Including the 3 current division leaders in the AFC (all blowouts).

I remember after the first 4 weeks we started to question these two teams. First GB gets demolished by Seattle, then the Patriots lose in the second half to Miami, then GB is held to 7 points in Detroit, then Patriots lose 41-14 at KC and pull Brady from the game and everyone said "Brady is done."

Both of these quarterbacks pulled through. Rodgers told the GB fans to R-E-L-A-X, relax. He kept his promise and now Green Bay is third in the power rankings. After the Chiefs game, all Bill said was "We are moving on to Cincinatti." And their attitude has been that all season. "We are moving on to ____."

This is the first time Brady will play Rodgers as a starter. They only played each other once when Rodgers was just a backup QB. Bret Favre went down with an injury in the 1st or 2nd quarter and young Rodgers took the field. Of course, it was a young Rodgers vs Tom Brady in his prime and the Patriots won 35-0.

Who has the advantage? As a Pats fan, I still think Rodgers and the Packers have the advantage here. I just don't see how this team can lose at home. They play like the Saints play in the dome, but even better. One can argue that the Packers have beaten up bad defenses and bad teams, but I don't think so. The Eagles, with Foles, were pretty close against Palmer and the Cardinals, and I think they would have been destroyed even with Foles. Another important factor is the Patriots preparation. Bill could prepare for Peyton and Luck because he has prior experience against these teams. This is his first time preparing the defense for what could be the best pure passer since Dan Marino.
