FSU was not bad, they fumbled 5 times in the space of six drives. Doing that against anyone is a bad idea. If you actually watched the game you would see that FSU was driving the ball each time one of the freshmen decided to forget how to hold a ball.
#39593 - anonymous (01/13/2015) [-]
Eagles had Foles for 5 games this season and won 4 of them, with the 5th being a loss by 5 points. Eagles also ended the season 10-6 with a second string QB its Sanchez, hes good for a game then hes pure shit and a three-bit secondary. Eagles are not a very good example for your argument.
User avatar #39597 - hawaiianhappysauce (01/13/2015) [-]
But when the Eagles had Foles they looked like a more pro-style offense with Foles being more of a pocket passer than a mobile QB. Mariota and that offense remind me of Mark Sanchez and the eagles because they are all about getting plays off quickly and we see how that hurts the team.
#39590 - repostsrepost (01/13/2015) [-]
How many championships do up tempo teams have? Auburn is probably the only one. Of the other two teams that have won titles in the last 5 years, Alabama and Florida State are probably the two most pro-style offenses in college. Ohio State and Florida under Urban are spread, but not that up tempo.

Yeah.... but for everyone in that division.

You got Seattle, 49ers, Cardinals, Rams, Denver (unless peyton retires), Chargers (Rivers is either GOAT or average), Chiefs, Panthers, and Cowboys. Basically Denver's schedule this season and they were completely worn out by the end of the season. You won't get a bye, but you will win the division.

however, I just looked at our schedule and outside Alabama (oh boy we're gonna be their FCS punching bag), our schedule isn't too bad... We don't face Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, or Penn State thank god, BUT, we do face Minnesota and Nebraska on the road this season, Iowa is our first conference home game, and that's about it... We get Northwestern at home, Rutgers, and Purdue, at Illinois maybe tough, and so will possibly Maryland. Ok maybe not 6-6 so let's see
@Arlington, TX, vs. Alabama, loss, come on, it's Bama
Miami (Ohio), win, 2-10 in MAC does not bode well for them
Troy, win, 3-9 in Sun Belt does not bode well
Hawaii, win, didn't I hear this program may discontinue soon despite the HUGE money opportunities this school can have?
Iowa, toss up, they're always scrappy and make tough games for us
@ Nebraska, loss, they're going to be SO happy they're not facing Melvin Gordon
Purdue, win, they haven't been relevant in a long time, they were 3-9 last season
@ Illinois, toss up, they really hurt us last season which was a big surprise, this one is tough
Rutgers, win, after what we did to them @ Rutgers, they're going to be intimidated in Madtown
@Maryland, win, though they may give us a run for our money this time, I see a win here
vs Northwestern, win, I see Badgers step up and avenge this season's loss to them
@MN, loss, MN is on fire, they're going to break the streak next season @MN guaranteed, they're finally in shape, with a good coach, now they just need some explosive players.
so far it's 7 wins, 3 losses, 2 tossups, so at the very worst, 7-5, that's worth a bowl.

changing subject for a moment, I'm really not looking forward to next season with the Badgers, QB situation is awful, Corey Clement is our ONLY playmaker and the most he's going to get max next season is 1500 yards, new coach, average D, I have a feeling we'll be 6-6 or worse next season, 6-6 best possible. The only thing I hope our new coach does is bring the team back to 4-3, 3-4 just doesn't work for us, 3-4 is so hard to recruit for too, you gotta recruit 3 big guys for the D-line in order to have any size to stop the run, with a 4-3 we can just recruit 5 LB's and 2 DT's at any size.

I'm going to miss Melvin Gordon

absolutely, Green Bay however has not been that great against scramblers... god damn I'm nervous now. HOWEVER! I'm more than satisfied right now with our performance this season, we won a HOME playoff game, undefeated AT HOME this season, a blowout win against da Bears AT HOME, a division win, and a playoff bye, at this point, I"m more than okay with whatever outcome comes. I'm no Seahawk fan, but I'm not a hater, I got respect for them, why? Cuz Russell Wilson be a former Badger yo!

only if we kill ourselves like we nearly did this entire game, so many stupid penalties (and bad calls too...), we weren't bad offensively at all, Eddie Lacy was a beast, Rodgers even without scrambling was decent, we just kept doing stupid shit like Corey Lindsley's stupid early snap, and penalties. If we can maintain focus next week, I hope we can at least make it close with Seattle, it's now a toss up at this point, our defense looked good for the most part (again though, the penalties were killing us, that first TD Dallas got was all refball).

User avatar #39313 - hawaiianhappysauce (01/11/2015) [-]
No, the ravens game was refball that NE had to get over. Holding on Revis after a fumble near the end-zone, bad PI call with Steve Smith Sr flopping, Ravens players kneeing Brady while he is down and no flag, but when we taunt we get a flag, blatant no call on hold on Gronk). All of these things took momentum away from us to give the Ravens a scoring chance. I think Packers will still win. The Dallas Cowboys are struggling to move the ball and GB hasn't had that one quarter where they just unleash.
User avatar #39307 - saltyfries (01/11/2015) [-]
yeah refball, that was the only reason Dallas scored that first TD, apparently a co-worker told me that the ref for that previous game, came off a Dallas Cowboy party bus, and RETIRED after the game with LOADS of money, sounds VERY suspicious

Seemed like there were plenty of times where rushers got close, but Cam rolled out usually.

Not sure why you hate the bears so much when their team has been irrelevant since they picked up Cutler.

But Garrett finally broke the 8-8 streak and went on the road 8-0. which very few teams have pulled off in the history of the NFL.

Rodgers played hurt 3 times, 1 bad one against NO away, against the Bears which was AWESOME, and then his heroics against Detroit. We're at home so that should be SOMEWHAT an advantage over Dallas as they gotta contend in that weather. HOWEVER! I have to see it to believe it out of Green Bay, they say they're hungry, but they gotta prove it.

I think the person who is the most hungry out of all the teams is Denver. Out of all the QBs who are desperate for that next SB it's Peyton who has little time left.
