The rams are a team that is physical, they win big in every draft and I predict will make the playoffs because that team, without a starting QB, beat Denver badly, beat Seattle, almost beat both dallas / eagles, threw a game losing pick against the chargers in the red zone (like Seattle did in the SB), shut out in 2 back to back games against Oakland and Washington. Then in seattle they were winning 6-0 at halftime. That defense is dynomite sometimes. I think it gets exposed because it's on the field so often when you have a terrible QB. Their PUNTER is a better QB. Now that they have Nick Foles, they might be a much better team.

I pick them to make the wildcard round and play against a team like saints and win, but lose to a team like the packers.

Oh yeah, I remember that now. The Chargers had an incredible opening season, and were already one of the teams considered to go far into the playoffs.
And yeah, looking back at that game, and looking at his stats, I definitely would pick Rivers as a QB over most people. I take back what I said about him earlier. Also he did do a great job for my fantasy football league, so I might just pick him again.

When Rivers had the MVP runningback he went 14-2. He really should have beaten the Cardinals on Monday Night Football, but they choked and fell apart in the 4th quarter, which is the biggest problem with Rivers. He isn't always clutch, BUT his December record is almost as good as Tom Brady's. They had a 5-1 record to start and I thought they would be a wildcard team again (I knew Denver was a beastly team too and they would probably sweep their division).

Really? I am not kidding, I didn't hear a single thing about Derrick Carr. It's probably like what you said, he already is in a team that has little to no reputation, and has to compete with some fantastic QB's. And yeah I agree, Gates is almost done. I'd give 2 seasons at most.
User avatar #48304 - hawaiianhappysauce (07/01/2015) [-]
But despite having just Gates, Rivers flat out bullied the Seahawks with 3 TD to gates, 0 int, 75% completion rate, 30-21 point win, and that was only that close because Percy Harvin was given a TD when he went out of bounds and Seattle scored before the second half ended with like 10 seconds left. The game could have easily been a blow out. And that was a Seattle team with all defensive players (wagner wasn't hurt, not injuries) and Seattle was coming off a Long rest after destroying Aaron Rodgers and Rivers was coming off a MONDAY game. Rivers is a beast, he has no team. I would take him over Romo.

Romo hahaha elite, great yes but elite what are smoking?
I bet Luck will win two SB's and Cam one after Brady and Peyton call it quits. So yeah.\

Romo last season - highest passer rating, went into Seattle and won (Rodgers failed twice), has no defense on his team so has to basically play big or lose, still went 12-4.

Brady is getting old, sure. But he has a couple seasons left though. Don't count him out just yet. Aaron Rodgers is fantastic, even if I am someone who is not a Packers fan by any means, I gotta agree he is one of the best in the Packer's history, probably even NFL history.
Drew Brees may have a chance though, if he gets traded to another team. Problem is that he is getting older and he loves New Orleans too much to leave, and they love him too much to let him go. And Peyton is getting old, really old. And it's really starting to show.
Romo is okay, and Rivers isn't that great. Romo is not a clutch player at all, and Rivers isn't a leader by any means.
I think Flacco is a good quarterback, but good the same way Rivers and Romo are good. Not fantastic, not a leader, and not a clutch player. Meanwhile, Wilson has to be one of the most overrated quarterbacks ever. He just sucks.
I agree, Cam is also overrated and won't get a ring unless he is traded. Even then, chances are slim. I think Luck still has a couple years to go before he could be considered an elite quarterback. Don't get me wrong, I think he is a fantastic quarterback, just not an elite one though. And the Colts gotta balance out their offense some more. A quarterback can't do it all on his own.
I agree with the Roethlisberger and Eli Manning one. Ben is a good quarterback for his age, and he's tough as hell. Eli gets shit on way too much because Peyton is the better one, and you could argue that Archie's reputation kinda gives him a lot to live up to.
Terry Bridgewater? Lol. He sucks. Honestly the Vikings should have kept played James Vandenberg when they picked him up from Iowa. And I had no fucking clue who that other guy was. Had to look him up, Derrick Carr. You know the guy has no chance at getting a ring when a guy like me who fucking obsesses over the NFL can't even remember his name.
User avatar #48297 - hawaiianhappysauce (06/30/2015) [-]
Brady is old, it will be hard without a secondary too. Rodgers is the best passer I have ever seen, but I think when you look at a QB as a whole (Accuracy, accomplishments, leadership, clutch, historical wins), Brady is the whole package minus the athleticism that a Rodgers / Wilson would have.

I think Peyton may be old, but he has a really good team. 10 pro bowlers last year, lead the league. Denver has a solid defense - Talib and Harris Jr. being good #1 and #2 corners. TJ Ward as a safety, some good linebackers (one of the best rush defenses, and that's while facing the NFC West), 2 pro bowl pass rushers, drafted another linebacker in 1st round. On offense - Decent RB (was one of the best near the end of the season in Y/carry), Peyton is still better than most, 2 great receivers, and a good offensive line. This complete Denver team should make the SB and face the Packers.

Rivers is elite - Crushed the Seahawks, Comeback win against the 49ers, clutch win against ravens, big win against the Rams. And who does he have? Gates? Gates is getting old... remember, in 2006 the chargers did have a good team and went 14-2, they lost to the patriots in a game they probably should have won (Brady threw 1 pick that was immediately fumbled and gave NE a new set of downs, if he held the ball the game was over). Romo has no defense, so he has to put up big numbers every game in order to win. His defense stepped up last season and he went 12-4.

I wouldn't put flacco ahead of Romo or Rivers. Flacco benefited from a strong defense and throwing "hail flaccos" to anquan bolden.
I wouldn't say Wilson sucks, but he is going to get overpaid.

Cam and Luck throw too many picks for me to consider them both winning a SB. If I had to put money on it, I would pick Luck winning eventually since he has beaten good teams, just not the Patriots.

How do you not know who Derek Carr is? He is probably the best QB from last years draft. He is on Oakland Raiders, a team that has no chance of winning the division with Rivers, Peyton, and Alex Smith in it. Bridgewater is also a rookie and he was fine, but he won't beat Rodgers in the division.

The poll is misleading. It didn't ask "Would you vote for someone who is Jewish over someone who is Protestant / Roman Catholic?" Keep in mind, being Irish Catholic was a burden for Kerry's election, being the only catholic to be president I might add, so you can imagine how much worse it is for Mormons / Jews.

So that 18% / 7% being an automatic no means that they could lose some votes and it will cost them somewhere in the 1. Caucus 2. Primary 3. General Election.

Also ~50% wouldn't vote for a socialist, so I guess he would lose for that reason too.

The Mad King was overthrown by the rest of the Kingdoms and Houses. Targaryans are banished from throne-hood. Not to say I don't like her but Stannis has the most reputable and current heir to the throne. Your argument is equal to saying some fagget 200 years go was usurped as King and so his great-great-great-great-great-grandchild should be King.
