but it isn't making contact. look at the angle you claim it hits Khabibulin's pad at. if it hits that, it's gonna go in anyways once he kicks it. if it's still not in by the time it actually hits his pad, and he gets his foot over fast enough, it's not in.

but look, are we really gonna convince each other that it was in or not in? no, we aren't, no matter how hard we try. you made me think, and i do thank you for giving me a slightly clearer idea, but really, this whole argument is pointless. good day to you, sir.

You obviously dont understand the way a goaltender moves, and it is making contact in that frame because in the next frame it has changed direction. I was and still am a fan of the Flames, although the Leafs will always be my team. I've watched this replay hundreds of times, as well as being a goaltender myself, and watching and playing hockey my whole life. You cant convince me that the puck stayed out. As much as I love Marty St. Louis, and as happy as I am for him that he got a ring, I dont believe the NHL made the right call

whatever, either way. We can both agree that that Iggy, Kipper, Gelly and the crew deserved a ring that year, their playoff run was incredible. Iggy was and still is and absolute powerhouse that year, its a crime that he wasnt on that gold medal winning team in the last olympics

its obviously making contact with the bottom of that pad, meaning that at that point the puck was on or very close to the ice, the angle of the shot wouldnt change it that much. its in
