Oh god, why
- I'm sorry i can't hear you over all of these supplementals.
Pathfinder has more, and has greater variety. Oh and did I mention that Paizo is still making more unlike wizards who abandon editions to shill new ones?
Well they had done enough to support 3.5ed (seriously the amount of races, classes, settings, and compendiums were fucking unreal and waaaay more than necessary), decided they were done and tried to modernize with 4th, turned out it was an abortion that worsened the brand, then decided on 5ed. Which is a happy mixture between 3.5ed player choice overload and 4thed's "we MMOs now bois."
I don't like D20 all that much past the setting of Faerun, but just because Pathfinder has more expansions doesn't make it a better system. Choosing feats in 3.5 is way too daunting, even someone who knows a lot of them.

Found the e5 player.
kek. Nah, I play Star Wars Edge of the Empire for my firefly/space western kick and Numenara/The Weird for homebrewed settings, and D&D is just kind of neither. I either want rigidity (EoTE) or complete free-form (Numenara). I think there's a pretty objective benefit to the way they do Classes in 5th vs 3.5. They give non-mages a lot of unique abilities that make them feel a lot less like "roll-to-hit" monkeys, at least in my experience.
But that's why I like EoTE. Your leveling is organic and you can invest in Ability Points, Skills, and Feats a la carte, and the way feats work just feels right. Plus dice rolling isn't just for pass-fail. Dice rolling in that game has narrative impact on top of pass-fail.
5th editions way of choosing a "sub-class" thing feels very derivative of, but also very different from, Pathfinder's archetypes.
If you like narrative dice rolling, try playing FATE core sometime. Its pretty fun.
- MC Rick is not c-137 Rick.
Small Rick and Morty dump...
That's what I was thinking. MC Rick replaced C-137 after the Cronenberg incident.
Before the cronenburg incident. C-137 is the universe they fled from. If it's true that our Rick's family died before the events of the series, then he replaced C-137, which is likely a Rick that ran away from his family and got killed somewhere.
That doesn't really matter, anyway. The c-137 smith family survived, and was frozen, but, "freezing" is a reversible condition, as proven after jerry got frozen and unfrozen, that one time.
I don't think that's been explicitly stated yet, only infered
