No, no, no, no.
They're not omnivores, they're carnivores. They will only graze on grass when their dietary needs aren't being met, which is soon regurgitated because dogs have no enzymes nor symbiotic bacteria to break down cellulose, and they only have a single-chambered stomach so they can't ferment it either.
Dogs need small amounts of vegetation for a healthy diet (carbs and fibre that they can't get from meat) but they need mostly ANIMAL PROTEIN AND ANIMAL LIPIDS. That's why wolves eat the WHOLE carcass, including the contents of it's preys' stomach which is readily digested vegetation for the wolf's simple mono-gastric digestive system to handle.
Dogs need protein from animals because their digestive system is designed for it makes more use of it.
Mad cow disease was created because Maggy Thatcher thought "it doesn't matter where cows get their protein from, so lets just feed them meat"

Wolves are carnivores, dogs are omnivores with carnivorous traits dogs can survive only on plants and if you feed them correctly they can be pretty healthy even on plants only. I am not vegan but you can't just make up facts. Cats are carnivores and yes they can get killed by vegan only food dogs usually doesn't, and yes it is possible that vegan food can harm a dog.

Make up my facts? I'm studying veterinary nursing, if i made up these facts that i have put on my coursework then i would've failed the course a longggg time ago.
You can't compare dogs and cats, their diets aren't alike at all. Cats are obligate carnivores, or true carnivores, they literally can't digest anything but animal protein and they will perish without taurine in their diet. If you fed a non-meat diet, if it doesn't die from malnutrition first, a crust builds up on it's liver and kidneys and it will die of organ failure.
Dogs ARE CARNIVORES, ask any vet they will agree. It's what i study, it's what i've learned, and it's what every reputable source says. They are very adaptable to what they can eat, because many have only survived through scavaging, but that doesn't mean they're omnivores. Meat is best for them, meat is what their digestive system is most accustomed to, meat is their primary food. They, are, carnivores.

Gorrillas are classed as herbivores, because their primary food is foilage. But they also eat insects, and they CAN eat meat, that doesn't make them insectivores nor omnivores.

Keep arguing with the person going to school for a veterinary nursing degree. Just wait until my popcorn is finished popping.
