That is by far the worst break I have ever seen, I don't think rods could put that back together, at least not without more than a couple operations, and even then you wouldn't get back full motion. Me thinks it would be cheaper and much easier to just go for an amputation.

They surgically staple the bone shards together and splint it, it would take a long time, but this could actually be fixed. Though not without major loss of function

Oh ok i was thinking that might be the case but i didn't know if unfix-able meant it couldn't even use rods... Then again if we can grow a human ear on a rat whats stopping us from using rods!? Why arent we growing bones for this kinda shit? Or saving bones? WE should collect bones from dead people... Use every last bit... I KNOW WHATS GOING IN MY WILL!
