I was more thinking along the lines of "there'll be literally no legal consequences for CNN because they have money and people are already trying to put censorship on the net and you'll just be playing into those people's hands" and stuff.
We are talking about people that managed to find a flag by fucking air traffic, people that convinced new agencies that Trump got a golden shower by prostitutes. These are the sort of people that got companies to cut ties with game journo sites.
These people don't have to attack CNN to destroy it, only feed them bad information and discredit them, they can also attack them through other means as well, Id imagine they could lead a DDoS attack on their shit for a long enough time to drive a point home. There is no limit to what these sorts of people will do and they have vastly superior numbers and time.
Oh yeah, these people will just research CNN out of existence.
This happens all the time. A celebrity is not CNN. They're on differentl evels on the coorporate ladder.
Feed CNN bad information? Like what, things that are
? CNN won't let a little thing such as the truth get in the way of their international effect nor their money.
DDos attacks? Let's say that happens. What next? I predict CNN will run a campaign about how their political opponents did this and how they are the victim. The hypothetical court case on their use of blackmail won't be won or even slightly affected by this. Money will. CNN is a zelda boss: They have one weak point and one exactly: Their wallet. Unless struck there, they're invoulnerable.
Everything I mentioned can and would effect their bottom line, poor ratings mean less money, less money and poor ratings mean less endorsement and effectively it becomes a self sustaining cannibal blowjob
And how, may I ask you, would gathering intelligence against CNN work when they censor right and left?
How would this affect their ratings?
How would feeding them bad information help when they already feel no effect of getting shit wrong?
Again, I genuinely do believe that the victim card is greater than the DDos attack because thus far our (yes "our", Denmark is basically America but with more beer and better everything) entire culture has had a great era of victimhood = good guy.
You want to discredit CNN? How? They'll write it off as alt right movements being alt right movements.
These are the two things you mentioned. You failed to mention
this would actually affect them in spite of their magificent defense thus far.
Feeding them bad information that is constantly found to be false lowers peoples opinions of them and makes them seek other more credible news sources.
DDoS can work somewhat on the same thing as the previous statement, people lose trust in the companies ability to maintain themselves, whats more is if its constant enough then they can lose ratings simply because of lack of traffic due to those down times.
The bad information depends on a case by case basis, if its something big enough they can basically torpedo themselves into the ground, look at the project veritas shit and how people resigned following it, this also works to discredit them
No matter how much they write shit off or blame on others, sooner or later people will question em, and questioning can easily turn to finding answers and proof of misconduct, this in turn makes them lose more people. Remember the how people slightly distanced themselves from hillary when she pulled the deplorable shit? The only people that stuck with her on that was the people that drank the koolaid, and those people are in smaller numbers.
Its a complex bunch of shit, but still every little bit can help
You're assuming they'll believe the information they get.
Victimhood brings viewers - especially during an attack, that's when the exciting shit happens.
Again you're assuming they'll believe and report the acquired information.
>Sooner or later people will question them
Oh yeah, because what you need right now is a sooner or later solution. Remember how sooner or later Clinton would pay for her crimes? Surely seems to be later and the later it gets the more people lose interest.
>The only people who stuck with hillary were the people that drank the koolaid
You mean the majority of your country's population?
Sure, every bit can help, but I don't see it happening at all.
If you attack, they draw the victim card, if you don't then nothing happens. Either way they'll keep making money until the issues in question stop being relevant.
yes, people may hurt cnn by repeating the classical internet guerilla warfare that soe many big companies have had to feel but in the end they will run to the government that has no other choice but to drop the hammer of the law.
cnn needs to be taken down legally or they will like a vampire stand up again.
Word, the legal way is the only way they'll go down, but you'll have to afford one hell of a lawyer.
