9.5 years after high school and I just bought my first PS3 and I'm trying to finish Assassin's Creed. I go to bed at 5:30am and wake up at 1:30pm.
nor things will be better after 10 years. I know for experience.
It gets worse.
Its been 15 years for me and I have no skills.
You're still young. Part of the issue is our generation grew up to expect instant gratification because of things like the internet meaning that answers are always a few seconds away. Just need to accept that life isn't instant. There's plenty of time to figure yourself out, it just takes time and effort
> Lots of physical degeneration in our generation. Prenatal nutrition sucked, adult nutrition sucks, lots of poison. More deets if you want. Affects our body's development.... affects our
development - lesser thinking speed / energy levels / machismo / drive.
We ACTUALLY ARE
in a harder time nowadays. Much of the physical bounty created by the productivity of technology has been captured by 'Elites' and large companies. Fewer easy / well-paying jobs. More rules. High housing market.
Don't blame yourself. At all.
The only time to "Blame" yourself is
if you HAVE legitimately fucked up...
but even then, don't "BLAME" yourself : Just calmly admit an error to yourself, then calmly fix the problem. Rinse and repeat until ALL of your poor habits are purged.
Don't focus on the passing of time. Get the thought in your head that you have all the time in the world.....
because you do.
All of these techniques are to eliminate stress. Stress is not a tool. Stress is not a weapon. Stress in not an advantage.
Stress is masturbation which rapidly turns into self-pity. Nothing else.
Take it from me. Stress has bees one of my closest partners my entire life. It is one of the most insidious liars.
Address your health. Turns out a lot of the semi hippy-dippy people were right. Health is not cutting on yourself, or taking chemical pills. Health comes from cleanliness, nutrition, a healthy mental state, and a wise lifestyle. I'll give details if you want.
Don't worry about The World, or the Elections, or Your Family, or How You Gotta Make Money, or How You Gotta Git a Career, or How You Gotta Git a Sweetheart.
Focus inward. Fix yourself piece by piece. You'll know what to do next by the time that's done.
Brother ( or Sister), I'm EIGHT YEARS out of High School. I have made very little progress on the "Things" I wanted to do, but I have made huge progress on
things which were blocking me, which could not see before.
I had a lot of housecleaning to do.
as probably do you.
Do your personal housecleaning now, otherwise you will ALWAYS go slower, for the rest of your life.
It's all very well to say "fix yourself" but what do you do if you don't know what needs to be fixed? You know something's wrong somewhere... but you just don't know what.
"...what do you do if you don't know what needs to be fixed?"
You ask your Uncle Swagbot, of course.
I like to believe this, gives me some hope.
Always felt i was on the slower side of smarts/thinking. I pretty much never do, feels like my brain is a potatoe
>Affects our body's development.... affects our brain's development - lesser thinking speed / energy levels / machismo / drive.
Care to elucidate on this? I am ignorant in the ways that food changes machismo/drive/thinking speed(unless you arent eating enough). What should I eat so that this doesnt affect me?
I'm not the same person
Anemia, for one, can deprive blood of red blood cells, and this can eventually lead to certain types of damage to the brain. Nothing invalidating, but certainly harmful. A severe
let me repeat, severe
case of anemia leads to memory loss, cognitive delay, and some learning deficits.
Eat spinach. Eat meat. If either of those are not readily available, take a supplement.
(Study of a lack of iron's effect on rats' brains)
(Study on anemia and other vitamin deficiencies during pregnancy, development, and adulthood)
Shit swag bot, that gave me a little hope. Yea i will start cleaning the house.
Thank you you blessed soul. I'll keep on walking with my two good feet.
Can confirm. It works. Start from fixing yourself, the rest will come in its own time.
Take your time, don't worry and just try to enjoy the present. Life's not a contest. Successful people often enough wish they had more free time and less responibilities. So you should enjoy it while it lasts.
