It's k. It's more lovely to have a chairman who knows what he's talking about and a coach that isn't ridiculed nationally. And a good academy. And a decent team spirit rather than mercenaries who want out as soon as possible.

Derby and Forest both hitting form, who knows? Maybe both of us could be top 10 finishers this year. Tough league this time around though
User avatar #596 to #595 - fukkendragonite (09/18/2015) [-]
I don't honestly think either of us are hitting form, I think we're hitting results and nothing more. Neither side is looking fantastic on the pitch. I'm kinda looking towards the near future rather than the right now because I think we've got the whole setup ready at Derby. Chairman, head coach, recruitment team, academy, stadium, training ground. All ready for the Premier League. And the squad is too. Just a case of going up and doing it.

Paul Clement has made no bones about his ambitions as a manager but he knows better than to jump ship before he's ready. He's got a 3 year deal and I see him finishing that as a minimum. He's a great coach and tactician and I can see that, but he needs experience. And he seems to be learning quickly. Sort out the team this year, go up next season, keep us up in the third year, and then if he left then I'd be okay with it, that's the nature of the game. Who knows though, maybe we can go up this year.

I think Forest is a different story though, you've needed to have a big rethink after your embargo. Assembled a decent team of frees and loans, as we had to do when we came down in 2008. Just need to slowly build from there. I'd actually recommend getting rid of Freedman and bringing in Nigel Clough for that job you know!

Things are a bit **** at both our clubs right now.

Antonio is off then? £7m a good deal you think?
User avatar #590 to #589 - lizardnigger (09/02/2015) [-]
I'd knew he'd go but now that he has it's heartbreaking - by far our best player and easily one of, if not, the best winger in the league. Still, clubs like us can't turn down that sort of money for a player who doesn't want to be there. Butterfield and Johnson aren't bad signings for Derby City either
User avatar #591 to #590 - fukkendragonite (09/02/2015) [-]
Can't afford to turn it down when you're under embargo. Probably means you'll be out of your embargo at the end of the season as well so it's a good deal.

Derby City.... that was ******* annoying man. I watched that on East Midlands Today live and just ******* cringed. Slip of the tongue though, I'm sure he realises what he said. He did just come from Norwich City so I can see why that was on the brain. We've spent a ******* of money, this better ******* work.

I'm so cocky right now and I know in September its going to be absolutely buzzing at the Kuwait City Ground Stadium bin Abdullah Fawaz Money
Are you going?
User avatar #577 to #576 - fukkendragonite (07/30/2014) [-]
>tfw it was £2m
>tfw 4 year deal
>tfw not out for the season
>tfw 7m over 10 seasons is a very good deal
>PAHAHAHA 500m DO ME A FAVOUR MATE. Man City were stopped from getting through a £120m deal for the Etihad. I thought you were smarter than that
>tfw Fryatt is injured
>tfw Craig Bryson signed for 5 years, so plenty more famous hattricks to come
>tfw that's not true because Thorne's wages are fairly low.

I personally don't know how anyone can find a long-term injury funny, no matter who it is. I was genuinely disheartened to hear about Cohen last season. These things transcend football for me.

I will be going of course. If Forest are still around by then. You're in court with a winding up petition on Thursday because you still haven't paid HMRC the £1.2m you owe them. You haven't paid your players your bonuses, you haven't paid your catering bill and you still haven't paid us the £85,000 you owe us from the away ticket sales from last years 5-0 drubbing.

Still, a drop in the ocean when you consider that half a billion pounds coming in.... Christ, you Gumps are gullible...

I know. It's all speculation but it's a good time to be a cocky prick. So I am
User avatar #579 to #578 - fukkendragonite (07/31/2014) [-]
I'm not confident about either of our clubs right now. I honestly don't think Fawaz is everything he says he is, and I think we may be weaker than we were last season.

But I think we will finish at least in the top 3 or 4, whereas Forest could be anywhere from league winners to relegation candidates, and if I were a Forest fan, I would hate to have that kind of uncertainty around my club.
User avatar #580 to #579 - lizardnigger (08/01/2014) [-]
I think Forest's lague position is all down to Pearce. We've got the squad to win the league, as we should have last year but inujuries blah billy davies blah blah

And Fawaz is everything he says he is. Believe me, the Al-Hasawi family are rich as **** and Fawaz is a well respected man in Kuwait. He isn't going to **** us over.
User avatar #581 to #580 - fukkendragonite (08/01/2014) [-]
The thing is, I don't think some of your injuries can be put down to bad luck. Henri Lansbury for one- he's an exceptional player but he appears to be made of biscuits. You've got loads of injuries coming out of pre season already. We have a few just like that, Thorne, Dawkins, Coutts, Barker (probably never playing again tbh...).

Well respected in Kuwait is nothing when you look at their rich history of fraudsters and corruption. But they are rich as **** , I'll give you that. They just don't seem interested in Forest. They seem more bothered about advertising his refrigeration and air conditioning crap, and the Kuwait City Ground. Plus the fact that you lot keep ending up in court over these winding up orders because you don't pay your bills.

And what about Financial Fair Play? Are Forest just ignoring that or what?

I'm okay. I'm about 4 months in in the Air Force. Really tiring. Who knew the AF would be this hard ?

What have you been up to? Partying?
User avatar #567 to #566 - fukkendragonite (07/11/2014) [-]
You should have known it'd be difficult. But it's rewarding in other ways right? It's certainly a noble profession either way, so well done dude

Me? Nah I don't do a whole lot of partying, I wish I did. Mainly finishing my final exams and getting ready for university. I'll be moving out of home in September too, which to me is ******* terrifying because I have no idea how I'm going to be able to look after myself. I'm not the most responsible guy, let's face it...
User avatar #568 to #567 - tholomewsense (07/12/2014) [-]
Yeah i guess. I always hear the "Chair Force" so i wasn't prepared for it to be that hard. eventhough i wanted to join the army. But i managed to lose around 13kg since march so it's cool.

That's awesome. What are you going to study? And don't you worry about living alone. When i moved for myself for a year when i was 16 i had almost never cooked anything. I just looked **** up on the internet or called my parents for help. Not that hard. And i suck at evrrything
User avatar #569 to #568 - fukkendragonite (07/12/2014) [-]
Yeah, the whole "chair force" always sounded like ******** to me. I imagine it's harder than they say. I don't think I could do it to be honest, I don't have that kind of commitment or ambition to be honest, so it's not for everyone!

And studying for a History degree, possibly heading into a teaching career, not decided yet. I just want to do the History bit first, and then I could do my teaching qualifications as a postgraduate if I need to. But yeah, I'll be sharing the place with 4 or 5 other people, so I don't want to blow up our shared kitchen trying to cook haha
User avatar #572 to #569 - tholomewsense (07/14/2014) [-]
Yeah. It's easier than specialforces and that digestive end product but still. And some professions in the af is slack but i think all the branches has slack positions.

Teaching... damn that's cool. I have also thought of being a teacher but i don't think i'm qualified for that sort. What kind of teacher? Like elementary or more like university?
User avatar #574 to #572 - fukkendragonite (07/14/2014) [-]
I really hate these word filters...
User avatar #573 to #572 - fukkendragonite (07/14/2014) [-]
I imagine that like most things in life, it's something that you can easily do a half-arsed job of. You can take an easy position or you can take the ambitious and more difficult roles. If you join up because you heard about the "chair force" then you can take an easy position. If you want more than that then you can find something more.

I honestly don't know.... I believe in kids, and I think that the youth of my country are given nothing but digestive end product. I want to help them, but I don't know if I can do anything. There's a problem with our education system and it's bigger than anything I can do. All I can do is try I guess. Teaching young kids would be easier, but I can be more expressive in the role with older children and allow creativity to flow better, know what I mean? It's a while away anyway. I have time to think it through.
User avatar #575 to #573 - tholomewsense (07/20/2014) [-]
That's why i chose my position. I didn't want to be that typical chair force soldier. Gets loads of creds from the others for going through hell tho.

I hear ya. Most ed systems are too ****** up. Even ours have some ****** up things. I want to change that but i don't know what to do. Atleast we're not as ****** as theamerican system

AWESOME! I'm hoping to see them at Download Festival in June. It's the first time they will have headlined a major UK festival, so it should be special.

I also don't get why everyone seems to hate Hail to The King. I thought it was pretty solid. They are ripping off a little bit but at least they do it well. There are much worse bands ripping off Metallica and AC/DC out there (like Trivium for example... or Airbourne. Airbourne are pretty much exactly the same as AC/DC yet everyone loves them...)
User avatar #518 to #517 - tholomewsense (11/11/2013) [-]
yeah, they're getting really big now.

Glad to hear what you think of HTTK, i forgot to ask you if you liked it or not when it came out.

This means war sounds something alike Sad but true - metallica. but **** that. the album have lots of really original songs. i liked the new album, probably not a favorite album but a good one. i just hope for more sick-drumming next time. many songs had awesome drum-beat but they wanted a slower type this time. maybe next time will be more city of evil type? no one knows.
User avatar #519 to #518 - fukkendragonite (11/11/2013) [-]
I reckon next album they will return to something more City Of Evil or Nightmare-ish since people have complained so much about this album. I hope so anyway, CoE and Nightmare are my two favourite albums. Believe it or not, Waking the Fallen is my least favourite. Weird really since people love that album...
User avatar #520 to #519 - tholomewsense (11/11/2013) [-]
good i never complained but a huge reason i started to listen to A7X is the fast and crazy drums.

my favorite is Nightmare and a tie between CoE and self-titled after nightmare. i'd say STST is my least favorite tho. WTF do have some raw stuff and really sick songs but not my fav album.
User avatar #521 to #520 - fukkendragonite (11/11/2013) [-]
I said for ages that Sounding was my least favourite but I've listened to it again and there's some solid songs on there. To End The Rapture, Turn The Other Way, Warmness On The Soul, We Come Out At Night, The Art of Subconscious Illusion etc...
User avatar #522 to #521 - tholomewsense (11/11/2013) [-]

I watched that on BBC Three. What a show. People say it's the best live show they've ever done because obviously it's Reading Festival and they would have dreamed growing up of headlining Reading. It was a pretty big thing for them.

And I suppose that'd be cool, but I'm not sure they're a big enough band for stadiums yet. They'd be half empty

ok ok
maybe one stadium
like on the border of scotland and england
they would fill that **** , especially after reading

They are a Scottish band in fairness, so it should be in Scotland. I'd travel to that ************ definitely
