Yeah I understand that. I try not to make myself look like that, I do think gun rights are being restricted on a day to day basis, and that one day the statists may try to confiscate firearms of law abiding Americans, and when that day comes, I will fight.

Try this quiz, see where you fall: www.politicalcompass.org/
Taxes on the wealthy is probably something we would never agree on, but the rest is spot on, and I am fairly conservative. There need to be limits to the extent of social capitalism though. The USA could never function with the government policies of Denmark, for example. I think the #1 problem is government spending in this country. We have record tax revenues, and we are still exceeding budget. The government needs to adopt policy that curbs waste spending and motivates economic growth. with regards to wellfare, people need incentive to work, not subsidies to not work. That all starts with economy. I don't advocate substantially higher taxes on the wealthy because I am going to be there one day, and I don't plan on becoming a hypocrite.

I dont know if I like this quiz, It asks too many hypotheticals without discerning intent. It seems to me to be asking leading questions. Its almost like one of those facebook quizzes that tells you which star wars character you are. It wants to know the how and not the why. Of course it can also be said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions so maybe Im full of shit.

It makes generalizations on purpose. I think the answers should be changed to never, rarely, sometimes, always and it lets you think of instances in which you would say yes/no.

This will probably be my final say in this as we both know mostly how the other think witch was the point of this discussion for me, (to understand what you thought).

I think it is necessary to prevent somebody who has shown that they are not trustworthy of using/owning a gun from having one. I see it as an infringement of safety for others to give a (potentially) unaware and/or stupid person a firearm.
#86 - fuckya (09/16/2015) [-]
I just see that as punishing someone before they make a mistake, which seems unjustifiable to myself.
But in the long run, I see it as the United States has a social problem that created a gun problem, and it's easier to blame the guns than the populous as a whole.

Good day to you sir, I must attend class now.

I'm German-American and believe that Social Capitalism is the way to go in the US due to that. Very open view points, such as pro marriage equality, seperation of church and state, higher taxes on the upper class, getting rid of the private prison complex. My go to motto is, "Do what you want as long as you dont harm others." Shit, I'm Wiccan for Christs sakes.

I have a shirt that reads:
"Make no mistake, I WILL defend my brothers, I WILL defend the weak, I WILL defend our way of life. I will bring the fight to your home, to keep you out of mine. I will pursue relentlessly all who threaten my people. I will sacrifice so that others may live. I am a citizen, I am an American, I am a Soldier. I am a sheepdog. If you strike me, or those like me, you will lay upon the earth until you are buried in it."
